Overall Great stay but only a double bedroom was organised as I was told"if you book with expedia, they never let us know if there are kids. Even though my booking confirmed it ! was going to be charged extra but they said it was ok and organised a alternative room quickly

We booked a room for 4 people ( 2 adults and 2 children) via Expedia and paid in full. On our booking invoice there an additional charge for extra child. However during check- in we were told that we should pay an extra 50£ for 2 children as their rates are for double occupancy. The reception staff stated it is an ongoing issue between the hotel and third party website. Obviously we were very unhappy with this, as this was an unexpected charge having paid in full. I requested they speak to the manager and would have cancelled my booking for full refund. We heard back from the manager they there would be no extra charges. So it wasn’t a great start. I can’t fault anything else about our stay. Room was clean with good quality toiletries. Breakfast was excellent.
