It was ok, it was a very busy venue we stayed from wed to very early Friday and there seemed to be events morning and night, we had our room moved from a loud area due to events because we have a baby with us but it really was a room downgrade that they couldn’t compensate for because we booked through the hotel app. Breakfast add on was definitely overpriced.

I've stayed at a lot of hotels, the Crowne Plaza at Sheffield has offered the best service i have ever experienced. Not only was Nicky hospitable and a great host, she helped the family with the luggage from the car to the room, offered us a bigger room because we had children and was very hospitable with our children. Nicky went out of her way to ensure we were happy and settled, at one point, she arranged for some medication to be collected from the pharmacy for my child.
I also witnessed her being brilliant with other guests, and a very friendly manner, going above and beyond with ensuring guests are happy. All if the staff were brilliant, we were late for breakfast, but they allowed us to eat in the bar area and were accomodating.
The hotel itself was brilliant, full of character and was recently updated. The facilities were also brilliant, bath/shower, bidet, safe, fridge and extras included. Needless to say, the reviews speak for themselves and I would definitely recommend the Crowne Plaza. Affordable, Beautifully decorated and AMAZING staff.

Second stay this week....excellent staff....pleasant, comfortable rooms and public areas.
An issue with housekeeping quality in the room's bathroom was taken up immediately by duty manager to be put right. Good, tasty breakfast. Excellent buffet for our family reunion.
Definitely will stay there when in Sheffield.

Just returned from a one night stay at the hotel. Had a twin with a connecting door in to a double for me, my wife and our 2 and 4 year old kids. There first time in a proper hotel so we were a bit anxious. Arrived around 18.30 on the evening after a day out at diggerland with two shattered kids but were checked in within minutes by the reception staff and got us straight to our room. Room was very spacious and clean, couldn’t of asked for more. After the kids settled used the room service for food and a couple of beers. Great choice and quality was fab. Breakfast in the morning was in their restaurant which is a great room with huge windows. Despite current restrictions we were handed a menu to fill out what we wanted then had it bought out to us. A special mention to Lindsay who looked after us and helped avert a near meltdown the youngest was considering. Nothing was too much hassle and it made the experience a lot more pleasant than we expected with the kids. Overall a great stay, will be back again fir a couple of nights next year all being well as a great base for exploring Yorkshire.

If you are thinking about staying here, then i would definitely 100% recommend. The staff go above and beyond, have a lovely friendly manner and are very helpful. The room we stayed in was clean, comfort and plenty of room for a family of 4. Large 42in screen tv, even a fridge. This is the second time staying here, and this will be our go to hotel when visiitng sheffield again. It is a beautiful historical hotel and you won't be disapointed. The food was impeccable, couldn't fault the breakfast choices.

Room was clean and adequate for a family of 4. A little disappointed that the restaurant/room service didn’t cater for children
