**Hotels.com Review: St James Court Hotel - A Taj Hotel** ⭐ 1 Star Our stay at St James Court Hotel was a disaster, with severe security issues and a lack of empathy from the staff. **Security Breach:** On July 7th, an intruder entered our room while my family, including young children, were asleep and asked to use the bathroom. This was terrifying. Despite informing the night manager immediately, the response was slow and inadequate. The manager suggested we left the door ajar, which we firmly denied. Their data omitted that THEIR employee was the last to leave our room after delivering milk for our children, failing to secure the door. Security took over 15-20 minutes to respond, leaving us feeling unsafe. **Repeated Fire Alarms:** Over two consecutive nights, the fire alarm went off after 1:30 am, disrupting our sleep and further traumatizing our jet-lagged children. The hotel’s data only mentioned a daytime alarm, ignoring the actual disturbances. The staff's claim that the alarms were handled promptly is false. **Lack of Empathy and Professionalism:** Mr. Wiedemann, the Hotel Manager, was dismissive and made no real effort to rectify the situation. His claims that the incidents were handled properly and that we were at fault for the security breach are both insulting and untrue. No genuine apology or satisfactory resolution was provided for the distress and inconvenience caused to my family. If you are considering staying at St James Court Hotel, stay elsewhere.

The Taj Hotel was recommended to us by a family member and we were very impressed by the hotel. The friendliness of the staff, room and spa area were all excellent.

I’m a huge Taj Fan…but this comes nowhere close to what a Taj experience should be. Below average check in process, room was given late, food at The @51 way below average even to UK standards (not even comparing with India standards). Our family suite on the 4th floor was very spacious…however kept hearing the Metro non-stop. The only nice thing was the Spa which we would give 5stars. Otherwise overall 3 star is stretching it.

Loved the location, staff, restaurant/courtyard, comfortable bed and large bathroom! Our room overlooked the school yard and when the kids were outside it was noisy. Could use sound proof windows for those rooms.

Nice hotel and friendly and helpful staff. We were upgrated to the junior suite with courtyard view and the room was nice and clean. The breakfast was also a plus, with lots of options. It is also in a great location.

Nice hotel in a decent area with nice enough staff, but did not shine in any way. Our room was spacious but it was in a wing that had not been remodeled yet and we regularly passed through the nicer updated areas to get to our older section which did not give a great impression. Sort of made it feel like we got the “cheap room” when in fact we had upgraded to a junior suite. Our room was also not quite ready on time for check in and we had arrived early and asked for an early check in. Staff were not informative and just left us sitting in the lobby waiting for a long time, and I had to repeatedly ask if the room was ready yet. Don’t know why they couldn’t call us over to the desk when it was ready when we were sitting right in front of them. Other than that, the property was nice and the wait staff in the restaurant was very friendly and helpful. Included breakfast was convenient and had a great selection (although the scrambled eggs were a disgusting runny mess every day.) The location was about a 3 minute walk to Buckingham Palace and about a 5 minute walk to the subway which was very convenient, although it felt a little removed from the interesting parts of the city.

everyone was welcoming, given and upgrade, the entire team was wonderful and treated us like family. Frederica at the front desk was especially wonderful, surprised us with the upgrade, helped with printing out tickets, and was so helpful with everything. Lina the hostess in the resturaunt was incredible, hard working and never stopped smiling. The concierge and wait staff were all incredible, actually knew our faces each day , in & out , and greeted us with kindness and asked us how our day went. everything was clean and beautiful.

We selected this hotel as they allowed children to have massages in the spa so my daughter and I had a fantastic 45 minute tandem massage. The staff were all charming and the breakfast was very good with lots of choice. The hotel seems to be undergoing a renovation as there was an older side to the hotel and a more modern area. Our room was lovely and had everything we needed (although fresh milk in the fridge would be nicer than the long life pots). The outside courtyard area of the hotel was lovely, I suspect it is very nice to sit out there in the summer. We had a great time.
