Lingfield Park Marriott Hotel & Country Club

We enjoyed our stay as a family, the room was clean and comfortable. Few little points where service could have been improved, no tea bags in the room, glasses and trays left outside peoples rooms when we arrived which stayed there for some time. The pool was good and we enjoyed the jacuzzi on the first day but unfortunately it was out of order on the 2nd day. Overall a good stay though.

Flight was cancelled and I had to book with Expedia to spend the night here. Upon arriving I was told the system was down and the reservation wasn’t in the system. Had to wait two hours to get the rooms. Staff was apologetic, and I can understand why. However, I was given a key to a room that had someone sleeping there already. I entered, saw someone there and left. The hotel went, removed that person to another room, cleaned the room and gave it to us. It was awkward. I only accepted it because we were really really tired and traveling with kids. The staff covered our dinner and was helpful. This review is just about the multiple things that went wrong.

Great staff! Very professional and helpful. No in-room dining was very disappointing in a modern hotel. Most hotels have resumed that post covid. Great breakfast. Dinner needed more flavour and seasoning. Had cod and chips and pork belly. Beautiful grounds and great room with balcony. Family friendly and great spa ! Get balcony rooms if you can. Stayed with large groups of friends. The windows in a some of their standard family rooms overlooked dingy roofs. They just kept the curtains closed. Didn't blame them. Not a pleasant view at all. Very happy we had superior room with wonderful views of golf course and race track.
