The Three Swans Hotel, Hungerford, Berkshire

Enourmous bathroom and small room which was described as a suite. Booked two suites (one for family members) both a bit disappointingly small and gloomy.

On checking into this hotel, we were advised we still had the full balance to pay of over £400, despite us already paying Expedia for half of this. They agreed to take half and look into the remaining balance… which they did not and it was not until I tried to check out, which took over 90minutes, that they decided to call Expedia. Expedia explained we had paid in full and that I should pay again and get refunded from someone. The hotel asked if they could get a virtual credit to be paid and Expedia said no. At this point I had already paid out over £400 and the hotel wanted to charge me again another £200 for the money Expedia had received. After 90 minutes I had to leave to collect my children from school. I discussed and agreed with Sam the manager he would call me with any updates so we could try and sort this out. Instead I find when I am driving home, they proceeded to take the extra £213 from my card without approval. This is absolutely disgusting, hard faced and untrustworthy. This should of been handled between Expedia and them. I am the customer, but I have been shafted for an extra £213 we do not have in this current climate. Do not trust this hotel and avoid at all costs. immoral and devious behaviour.

Booked as part of a family break. We were not disappointed.
