Stayed for 3 nights B&B whilst attending Hampton court garden festival July 2024. Dinner was poorly cooked burnt played safe with burger and chips which arrived after a long wait when dining room was not full and burnt Burger and chips to served to us both! So we chose to dine else where and the local options were quite a long walk way from hotel unless you wanted to dine in a pub down the road which was quite rowdy for us. Not impressed with the delux room didn’t have nice view and overlooked the back roof was very dark too. Delux room booked as a treat but found problems which I reported like broken mini fridge and towel rail didn’t work, dirty and shabby bath towels, one towel with blood /makeup on! Eventually towel rail and fridge were repaired by the last day following further complaints by us at reception which I did receive apology for but too little too late. Breakfast was a shambles every morning despite the different times we tried each day with many guests including us chasing staff to replenish breakfast food even bread, coffee cups, milk for cereals, fresh prepared fruit and cutlery for tables. The hotel isn’t organised in the dining & breakfast rooms, staff try but very junior. Parking limited busy days like Hampton court show but managed to park at hotel but late arrivals didn’t! Very disappointing, we travel often, not good value £650 3 nights room’s tired need make over, has potential! Wake up management , get organised please. holidays are precious

1. Despite the room being ready on arrival we found the room to be dirty. 2. There was only one bathrobe in the room instead of two and it was dirty and worn. 3. There were no coffee pods in the room 4. Outside of the window on the ledge was full of empty beer cans , empty sandwich wrappers and general litter. 5. Half of a used toilet roll in bathroom. Despite the assistant manager moving us to an alternative room …. 6. Alternative room had bad stains on the sofa and the cushions were shiny ( grease ?) 7. The swimming pool was not exclusive to hotel guests and we were not able to swim in the pool as children were having swimming lessons. 8. There was no room service as advertised on your listing 9. Fridge did not work. Despite being told our room was ready when we arrived as we were actually 28 minutes earlier than check in time , they wanted to charge us an additional £30. We declined and had lunch and then checked in. Never in my life has any hotel made a charge for an early check in if the room was available. Totally absurd. AND HOTEL.COM REFUSE A REFUND We were in the hotel less than 90 minutes. We had no alternative but to check out as the hotel did not meet with the listing details and was by far the worse hotel I have ever been in. I would not let my worse enemy stay there. I have been a good customer of hotel.com and never had cause to complain before. FEEL SO LET DOWN BY A COMPANY I THOUGHT I COULD TRUST AND LISTING IS FACTUALLY INCORRECT

Ample parking and a beautiful setting. Room was a deluxe double with plenty of space, comfy bed and sofa. Facilities were excellent with areas ideal for children such as the play park and soft play area. We walked along the path by the river and enjoyed the geese and parakeets. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay again.

Probably wouldn’t stay here again. Room was clean mostly, and comfortable for a single. Bed was bigger - a small double, so that was nice. I always book a hotel with a spa/sauna/steam room when I travel alone, so I have a way to relax after working and long journey. This is in fact more of a family leisure centre, with lots of people, lots of children running round etc. Not relaxing AT ALL. It’s also a long way from the actual hotel, which in hindsight I probably wouldn’t have bothered walking over there, as it was a waste of time and energy. Really difficult to find the facilities, even once you have made it inside the leisure centre. Parking was also very annoying after a long journey, as there’s no spaces reserved for hotel guests in the closest car park, so you have to walk quite a long way again. Then to get out, I was supposed to be given a code to get out of the car park (which has a one way entry system), but I didn’t know that and they didn’t give me one at check out. There’s not intercom to ask reception either. So if a woman hadn’t have let me out with her membership card, I technically would still be stuck in there now with my car! Of course I would have eventually re-parked my car and walked back to the hotel but it would have made me very late for my client, which was the sole reason for me staying at this venue in the first place.

Lots to like the room was decent size with a huge bed and the bathroom was large. Also from the restaurant there were lovely views down to the river. Breakfast was good with lots of choice though I do think it’s cheeky to charge extra for pancakes. On the negative we had booked the hotel due to the onsite gym offering lots of classes. Prior to arriving we were told the classes could be booked on the day. However everything was booked up and when I asked how busy the pool was. I was told there would be lots of kids in it in the morning. We found the room quite noisy as if we were near the air conditioning units but that could be just our bad luck. There was also no caffeinated coffee and not much milk - though reception were helpful and more was brought to the room. In the bathroom it took ages for the shower to come to temperature. Overall it’s in a gorgeous setting by the river and a very pleasant walk by the river to Richmond or via Ham nature reserve to Richmond Park.

Was ok, not bad but nothing special. Rooms given don’t match the photos at all so don’t get your hopes up. Staff were nice though and the kids playground on site was good.
