Honestly the best Holiday Inn that I’ve stayed in, in regards to service and level of attention. The location was clean, staff was friendly and the beds were comfortable. Upon arrival the kids were greeted with a kids activity packet.
The onsite restaurant was top tier and unique to London specific offerings. The location was very close to be the bus line which will get you to the Underground in ~10 short minutes.
There are local eateries and a grocery store within walking distance.
While the image of the waterfront appears attractive the waterfront was mossy during this visits. However, this was not a deal breaker for us.
If I travel to London again I would be a repeat guest.

This is a great location for families wanting to spend time sight seeing in London. It's just less than 1hr to get into central london. Good breakfast and evening meals available at the hotel. The staff were v friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.

The least inviting check-in experience I have ever had. When I mentioned I was checking in, I was asked to fill in my email address and sign the check-in form. I was then asked if I had a car in the car park but when I replied that I did not because there were no spaces available, the front desk staff didn’t even give a hint of empathy. I can understand that a car park will not always have a guaranteed space but especially when arriving with two clearly very tired young children, just a small apology can go an extremely long way. Once checked-in, I was given a key card and room number and absolutely nothing else. No directions to the room, nothing about times and where to go for breakfast, nor any other convenient information I’d usually expect on check-in, such as a reminder of check-out times.
I will never stay here again.

Overall, it was very good. The room was clean and the bedding was very soft and nice. The staff were kind, too. The breakfast was great, so the children were very satisfied.

My wife and I went with 2 kids (3 & 5) in a standard family room and we found it worked very well. Sometimes a 'Family Room' is just a double and two fold-out beds, which can leave little usable standing space, but this was a proper room with 2 doubles so it wasn't cramped. Food was very good and we enjoyed eating out on the cannel side in the evening. The kids got little colouring kits to keep them busy, which was a nice touch. Generally the place was very bright a clean and inviting. Excellent soundproofing - it's in the Heathrow area we never heard anything.
It is a fair walk to the nearest underground station but it's also right by a bus station which will take you there in a couple of mins (google makes the busses easy to ride). Would stay again.

Stayed to see family and a show at the Apollo. 20 minutes walk away so good place to stay. Only mark against is car park is relatively small so can be difficult to find a spot if arrive mid afternoon. Otherwise everything's very good.

I am writing to express my extreme disatisfaction with the Holiday Inn Brentford Lock. My family's vacation turned into discomfort when we were forced to listen and endure loud music through 1 am - an hour when most people are usually sleeping, obviously. We were placed on the fourth floor and were still able to hear music/noises blasting from a party being held downstairs. Through all my years of traveling and staying in various hotels, I have never expereienced or known of any hospitality service that allows this sort of insensitive and ridiculous behavior. I most definitely do not expect this from a four-star hotel. My wife, two young children and I were in dire need of a good night's sleep, as we had an early 10 hour flight to catch the next morning. After voicing our concerns to the manager, he was not sympathetic, nor did he exemplify a demeanor of understanding. Instead, he told us how parties are held frequently at the hotel, and basically said there was nothing he could do about it. Based on our conversation, I do not believe our concerns will be taken into consideration by him or the hotel. Staying at a hotel, I expect other guests in the hallway to be respectful with regards to noise. Thus, I expect more from the staff who are supposedly dedicated to providing a comfortable stay. I find it absurd that my family and I had to lay in our beds awake with the loud, distracting noise echoing through the floors. Our stay was unenjoyable and I do NOT recommend this hotel.

We stayed as a family of 4 (2 adults a11yo and 8yo). The children eat and sleep free was excellent value and the room large and comfortable enough for all of us. The link to London is actually pretty good (only 10 minute walk to brentford BR station and thence to Waterloo), but takes up to an hour. We choses the hotel for its location near Kew and only a 20 minute drive to hampton Court.
Advise choose room only for cheap rates and then prebook breakfast when you arrive (only £10 then for adult and child). Food is very good and the Curry evening on Fridays is also good value.
