Crowne Plaza Birmingham City Centre, an IHG Hotel

Fabulous night stay with my family. The staff were helpful and made our stay very comfortable from start to finish. Location of this hotel was perfect as we were able to walk about easily, my grandchildren are 4 and 8 and they didn't complain so that's a good sign. Room was lovely and spacious. Breakfast was delicious.

We stayed for one night with family and enjoyed the the whole experience, room , breakfast, staff all very good clean and tidy. Lots to choose breakfast selection didn’t eat in evening or dinner however lots of other guests did. Greeted by Sid on reception and checked in, Sylvia in charge of breakfast was very good and efficient making sure everything was in place and correct nothing was too much bother. Would stay again Thanks.

A lovely children friendly hotel with excellent amenities and a short walk to the City centre. We loved the children's corner with books to read and colouring pages. Our children also loved the activity packs they were given by Yolanda when we checked into our room. My only criticisms are that our room could have done with more socket outlets and the walls are incredibly thin- we could hear next door. However, overall a wonderful 2 night stay and the beds were very comfortable.

The fantastic staff made our stay wonderful. At the restaurant, Sylwia was very kind when my toddler and I ate breakfast; she went out of her way to ensure my child had food that met her dietary restrictions and to make us feel welcome. Sid and Matt at the front desk/concierge services were also terrific. This was our first stay at a Crowne Plaza, but thanks to those three employees, we will be returning customers.

Lovely convenient hotel. Easy check-in & given offer of IHG sign up to be allocated a room instantly. Not applicable to friends staying in family room, but it was a very busy weekend. Lifts do need to be remedied very soon, they are a law unto themselves, random stops & incredibly slow at busy times. Breakfast was hot, plentiful with friendly staff on hand to support, refill coffee & food stations. Plenty of seating for bar area in the evening.

The hotel was easy to locate, we managed to get parked easily, my boys were given activity packs upon arrival. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful! Our room itself was a good size for our family, comfy beds and pillows. We had to have the window open through our stay cause it did get very warm in our room especially at night when we was all sleeping but that was a minor issue that didn’t bother us our second night! The breakfast was amazing, unlimited buffet style, well cooked and tasted amazing with a big drink selection and bread and pastry section and good variety! We included breakfast when booking our room, and we only had to pay for mine and my partner as our kids ate for free at breakfast! Over all we really enjoyed our stay, and would stay again!

Having stayed at the Crowne Plaza for business I knew the facilities would be to the expected standards but i wasn’t expecting much more taking the kids there for an Easter break. However, I was pleasantly surprised as we were greeted by a lovely chap who welcomed the kids and spoiled them with Easter eggs and an activity pack. Every member of staff we came across was lovely and so helpful. Would highly recommend.

Check in/out- lovely service, friendly and approachable. Room- Location poor with children. Noise of people until gone 2am. Room was cleaned by Stephanie but was dusty and only had 2 towels for a family of 4 so needed to request more. Room was very very dated. Bathroom is desperate need of a refurb! Tap was almost falling off the wall. Room service- pleasant enough. Food ok. Breakfast- Great selection and excellent service. Parking- underneath the hotel. Nice and easy to use. Location- Good for shopping trip with the kids. Easy to walk into Broad Street.
