One of the bigger, newer & more family friendly hotels inAo Nanga beach area (ie. no drunken backpackers)
Beautiful hotel with a great location, just meters of the main road so away from the hustle & bustle but still very walkable. Tons of halal eateries nearby, from cheap eats to more expensive dining.
Service was great, lots of halal options at breakfast. Staff are attentive and friendly. They have a nifty mobile app that you install on your phone, using this you can arrange your room cleaning, book tours, view activity time tables etc etc. I found it quite nifty and helpful!
Room was clean and spacious, wifi worked great and fast!
We stayed for a full week, with 2 nights in a regular room and the rest in the room with whirlpool. Great experience having your own private jacuzzi like whirlpool
They have a friendly (and honest) tour booking desk, with the rains she discounted quite a bit and we did the emerald pools/tiger temple tour. The island hopping unfortunately had to be cancelled due to bad weather. A refund was given without hesitation.
Definitely going to return here in the less rainy seasons.

Brilliant hotel. Everything in place for a great holiday. Towels for the pool and beach. Spacious rooms. Booking airport transfers easy. Great for children. Lots of pool areas. Air con excellent. Breakfast was a huge range (not sure what else people would want!). Close to all of Ao Nang attractions and beach close. Pim was wonderful and can’t thank her enough in helping our daughter when she fainted. So smiley all week. Would recommended this hotel to anyone

Family with 2 kids.
This was our 3rd trip to Thailand, in total 11 weeks we have spent there in several hotels. On the way to Krabi this time (after a stay in Koh Lanta) we were talking about how nice hotels we have had and how nice the service is usually in Thailand, we simply love the country and the service level. Unfortunately, the stay at Panan is an exception from that. This hotel is at the most 2 star hotel with a service level we have never experienced in Thailand before. The facilities are dirty, personal look like they hate their job, rooms are smelly and extremely high humidity in the rooms. Our clothes were always half wet and smelled like old dirty socks. When we moved to another hotel we had to wash all our clothes because of the smell (we tried 2 rooms in Panan, same issue at both rooms). When we were checking out we asked the personal to call us a taxi, but they said no to it because that is a service they usually do not offer, just told us to go to the street to find a taxi (family with 2 kids and a lot of luggage). The breakfast area is at the best as a canteen, noisy with a lot of echoes. If you are okay with a 1-2 star experience, then choose Panan, if not, stay away from this hotel.

Good location in Ao Nang, with restaurants, shops and the beach all within close walking distance. The kid's club was great to keep my kids entertained. Staff were also very helpful and hospitable.
The only slight downside was the room's air-conditioning. It was hard to get the right temp. Either it's too cold or if I turn up the temp there will be condensation in the room such that the floor and other surfaces are wet.
But overall it was a pleasant stay and at a good price. So overall value for money was good.

We love this hotel and can't see why it isn't a 5 star resort. It looks exactly like the photos and more.
We had one of the whirlpool rooms and it was more than worth the extra paid - the whirlpool is a lot bigger than it looks on the photos too!
Both pools are wonderful with the upstairs pool being a bit more serene and adult focused. Nothing like a cocktail in the rooftop pool or at the downstairs swim up bar.
They strike the perfect balance of family friendly without being totally focused on children's activities.
Breakfast was glorious!
It's also very close to the beach, shops and markets.

They upgraded my room to Ocean view upon check-in, which was great!
This is more of a family resort so the pool and bar winds down early at night, as it's typically rather noisy in the day. The breakfast selection is decent and the facilities are kept fairly clean.
