Fairmont Le Montreux Palace

Service during arrival was terrible, no one helped us with the luggage even though there are 8 of us including a child. We asked the lobby personnel twice but they simply said its not their job. In the end we have to carry all luggages to our room by ourselves. We booked 4 rooms at the hotel and all of the AC does not work, the technician came to try to fix it but he was not able to. At 12AM they offered to change our room, we did, but the AC was also not working. They gave us a fan. Such a shame for a grand hotel like this. Overall, horrible experience, the worst of our trip in Switzerland.

Absolutely loved staying at this hotel! We had a beautiful view of the garden and the lake. Super spacious room, very clean and filled with all the amenities including a large bathtub. The hotel facilities specially 2x swimming pools were gorgeous and exceptional. Be sure to use the saunas and steam rooms. You can also take advantage of quiet reading room that no kida allowed. Breakfast was just fantastic, delicious and full of options both western and eastern. Highly recommend this hotel and hope to visit again soon.

the service at this hotel was fantastic. very much as per fairmont brand. we are a family of 3 (1x5yo) from Australia and staying at 5star always but our experience in Montreux exceeded our expectations. we followed with grand hotel tremezzo at twice the price all all we thought about was Fairmont in montreux. at arrival we were given a tour of the hotel and its amenities, then we were "upgraded" to a larger room at no cost (probably because we had a little one with us)... bottle of Yvorne chilled in the room... every day (we stayed 10 days) fresh fruits in the room, water... warm bathroom floors, warm towels,.. even our son's teddy was placed in the right position on the pillow every day. the attention to detail was incredible. the fitness and spa were incredible too with vfresh croissants and fruits etc upon the conclusion of your workout. this was an amazing 10 days for us in a place we could not find a minuscule fault. many thanks to the staff. ps. great martinis in the bar and the views from Le Petit Palais (at dinner time) were incredible as well.

Not for families with young kids. Location is superb
