Lovely family run hotel in a delightful small Swiss village. The owner is the chef at the restaurant, called Nico’s. We had two excellent dinners there. The reception staff are helpful and friendly.

at first we got the wrong room without balcony and no view but that was corrected quickly. The room was a bit small for a junior suite. We missed a hair dryer in the bath room. But the location was perfect and the staff very friendly

One of the most beautiful spots in the world. Wonderful hotel, great food, and so welcoming. We enjoyed playing the piano and singing, and babies and dogs are also welcomed and celebrated.

Amazingly wonderful staff (check in over a cup of tea, transfers to the train station, mailing my left behind jacket to my next hotel, personalized hiking plans). Safe, quiet location with great view of the mountains from our balcony. We had a junior suite with comfortable bed and very modern bathroom and spacious anteroom. We upgraded to the breakfast which was superior to our other European hotels. Dinner was outstanding; more of a fine dining experience but without the stuffy atmosphere. Excellent Swiss wine by the glass, delicious food; prices were comparable to our other dining experiences, portions were so good-we had to cancel our desert. They have their own garden next door for truly farm to table cuisine; my gazpacho was the best ever. Alpine hiking and the Swiss people are the highlight of our monthlong European vacation, and this hotel experience is the best of all.

This family run hotel makes you feel welcome right from the start. Peter provides you with great information and all of his staff are very helpful. The town of Kandersteg is beautiful and makes you feel really relaxed. Our room looks across green fields straight into the mountains, what a sight to see in the morning. The meals are really top quality and they have a great wine selection. Overall a top spot from which to do your daily walks with plenty of advice at hand to help you get the best out of your stay.
