Hotel Madrid Atocha Affiliated by Meliá

My mother, sister and myself stayed for four nights in may at the Tryp Atocha, number 83 at the Atocha street. Strategic loctaion toward all the activities planned. It is just a few minutes walk from the el Prado, Reina Sofia museums, and many other beutiful places that the city offers, including the shops situated in the same street, at La Gran via, and El Sol The area proved to be charming, quiet enough in spite of it not being too far from more tourist congested areas. Plenty of taxis if you need even though there is some more traffic since the sidewalks are being expanded. The hotel is elegant yet modern. It welcomes the visitors with a careful mixture of modern decorating touches with exceptionally preserved aspects like the sweeping marble staircases, accompanied with their beautiful iron work and lighting fixtures. We had a family room, which was modern, clean and confortable for the three of us with assorted, thoughtful toiletries that included a shaving kit. It offers a bath tub. We have to say that the menu breakfast was of a superior quality and level. It included the many and varied items of others which were also very good, this one also stands out with the quality of the freshly made tortilla espańola, the churros of different sizes and other special details. We would definetely stay there again.

Nice hotel, short distance from train station, was nicely welcomed by person at the counter, great for families or couples.
