Sallés Hotel Pere IV

Stayed with my family, 2 of us and our son, the sofa-bed was in bad condition, but it was then swapped. The Air-con wasn’t working properly but maintenance resolved it. Mini bar was hot, when replaced was nearly the same. When going into the reception and bar, we asked of one the boys, the blonde one about what to do in the area and he told his friend in Spanish, why don’t they check on google? Completely horrendous treatment, unacceptable. We will be complaining to hotels.com directly to request a partial refund surely.

This is mainly a business hotel, not really geared to wards families. They had restrictions on the time of usage of the pool and gym which were not clear on this site. The room we were given was inner facing, i.e. had no direct sunlight so it was dark and the window opened onto an atrium directly above the pool, which was noisy until late at night (past 12pm). The pool was tiny and enclosed so not much fun on hot days. The walls of the room allowed a lot of noise from adjacent rooms and corridors which made it quite difficult to sleep late at night. The sky bar had no shade during the day so it was aimed at evening use mainly.. TV in the room had only one English channel (BBC World new (hence the business comment above)) and did not allow any of the smart functions.

Hotel was extremely clean & staff were helpful. Comfy bed but the pillows are too small & the decorative pillows resemble couch cushions. No self laundry service inside besides very expensive dry cleaning. Spa is tiny and no area for parents to lounge while watching kids. Kids are only allowed in pool area 9-1. Location is decent although feels “dreary” outside hotel. Rooms are a decent size but no views. We couldn’t even move the blackout curtains otherwise neighbors would be looking directly into your room. I would not stay here again & there are probably better views for the price range.

Great location - walking distance from beach and La Sagrada Familia and Citudelia Park for young family. Underground station a minutes walk. Hotel offers everything that is required including spa with a small heated indoor pool. Perfect

The hotel was decent. The rooms were clean, the staff was helpful, and the breakfast was delicious. Our only issue with the room was that it was freezing and we couldn’t turn the temp up. It said it was maxed out but the actual temp in the room was very cold. It was not family friendly. The staff in the hotel restaurant suggested we find a different place to eat since we had kids with us. The pool does not allow children except in the morning. Even then, they have to be quiet and were not allowed to splash and play.
