Our family of 2 adults and 2 kids enjoyed our stay here tremendously. The rooms were well maintained and clean. The breakfast buffet was amazing with a huge amount of variety. We appreciated the hard working and efficient dining room staff who kept the buffet stocked and tables clean every morning. The front desk staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful in answering our questions. The property is very close to the Llacuna Metro station- making it easy to get to all of the major sites in the city- and located next to the Rambla del Poblenou- which has a huge number of restaurants and eateries. Highly recommended for families or anyone wanting to stay in a quieter part of town.

The room was small for a family of 4. Bathroom was big. Could use some of the bathroom space for the sleeping area. Need more ports to charge devices.

I'd try elsewhere next time.
Negatives:
-They use a strong product in the rooms that smells like perfumed sunscreen.
-When I got to the hotel I found out that I did not have adjoining rooms, so my family was separated. The hotel staff said they'd put the rooms close together, but it was not the same with 3 kids especially when the other room was at the other end of the hall (although it could have been worse, like different floors).
-The rooms were hardly tidied from housekeeping. The bedding was turned over - so any marks, dirt or stains on the bedding was turned INTO the bed. the floors were not swept at all. Nothing was wiped off.
-When my pillow case came off, the pillow was stained and gross looking (granted, I've never seen a hotel pillow to compare it to).
-The bathroom was grimy in general, the sink sprayed water everywhere, everything was always wet in there.
Positives:
-Great carb-filled breakfast & coffee/tea options.
-Friendly breakfast staff.
-Helpful front desk staff to point us in the right direction.
-Great location for some night-time bites and drinks.
-Great cafe on main floor.

Location was perfect to me, around 15 minutes to the sea, in a very cosy area just a minute away from Ramble de Poblenou with numbers of cafes and restaurants. Staff is very friendly, rooms are clean. They are changing the towels every day, breakfast was delicious, coffee was great, all the compliments from my side. Just one note, this is a family hotel with lots of kids, various age, which are all woken up early in the morning:))

Good value for money. Close to underground, the beach and a good street for food and drinks. Breakfast was ideal for us…2 adults and 2 children. Taxi into city gothic qtr. was €10. Room was clean…exactly as you’d expect from holiday inn!

It is located on a very good area surrounded by restaurants, stores, super markets and 15 mins walking from the hotel to the beach. Staff is super friendly, the breakfast is great, taxis are right in front of the hotel and metro station just 4 blocks from the hotel. Very good for families just be sure that you book a room for 4 people (standard in EU is 2 persons per room). We will stay here if we come back to this wonderful city.

This is a good, quiet hotel on the East side of Barcelona. It takes 10 to 20 min to get to the center of the city, some walkable distance to Metro and buses. The rooms were small but decently clean. The COVID (touchless) check-in system is a joke. You have to line 30 min. to get your keys, no matter how much you have done online. There were no refrigerators inside the rooms and at times, when I wanted ice from the only one and super small ice machine for the whole hotel, either it was not having any ice done or broken. So, do yourself a favor and do not book this hotel during a heatwave. Air conditioning worked just fine, not super cold. The bed was ok, the pillows were too hard for me. Breakfast was pretty complete but in high demand (crowded). However, my kids were delighted eating their delicious pastries. The staff was attentive but due to the relatively limited facilities, they were sometimes unhelpful: no seat available for breakfast means you have to wait in line for one. There's no need to book this hotel through any travel aggregator since the staff seems to pay zero attention to messages posted to them through travel aggregators (such as Expedia)... The most effective way to communicate with them is by calling them directly. I asked if they had a local newspaper available and I was given 4 laser printed letter pages of local news... That was really funny. Overall, I think this is a hotel that tightly fits the value you pay. Maybe be better during winter.
