Hotel HCC MontBlanc

The ratings for this hotel are baffling to me. First the positive- clean room, variety at breakfast (surcharge), friendly and helpful staff, good location. Now the negative- the room had absolutely no amenities. None. Not a drawer for your clothes (no dresser) no hooks in the bathroom to hang a towel. None of the basics you would expect at a hotel in an area geared towards international travelers. A shampoo/body wash in the shower but that is it. No tissues, only 2 towels. No washcloths. No clock. No chair for relaxation or table in the room. One english speaking channel (CNN). No one working the terrace bar any of the days we were there. The pool towels are actually small bath mats. For the price we paid and the ratings, we were quiet disappointed. On top of that (and not a fault of the hotel per se) is the fact that we had families next to us that went back and forth to each other's rooms and slammed the doors well into the night.. There are also 2 elevators, each holding only 4 people. While we were there, one of them was out of order for a bit, which made the wait long. Overall I would look elsewhere if you desire comfort and amenities. Our room (412) was extremely bare.
