Cleopatra Palace Hotel

This time of year not too many children. Pool busy but plenty of loungers catching the sun all day til late afternoon. Gentle music in the bar area in the evening or more up tempo stuff in the sister hotel - just a minute away. Plenty of walking, watching the surfers or just relaxing on the beach. Location ticked all the boxes for a relaxing holiday. Hotel a little dated & a bit tired but staff were pleasant. Fabulous breakfast well worth having.

Well I have to start by saying you couldn't want a better location. You come out of reception through a private gate and you are on the beach. The reception area is lovely, a glass of champagne while you check in. The pool area is also lovely. Nice and quiet, a really relaxing holiday. If you want a more lively pool you can go to the hotel next door which is directly linked, for a more family orientated experience. There was a couple of days during my 2 weeks that the pool did get noisy so we left and went to the beach. The free towel hire system if fantastic, works really well. As for breakfast you would be hard pressed not to be able to find something you like. Now for just a couple of negative points that make me feel this is not a true 4*. The place is in need of a lick of paint on the exterior. The rooms also need a bit of make over. The bathroom door made of hardboard which was all swollen with the moisture. Chips in the bath. No extractor in the toilet/bathroom. A couple of cracked tiles. A shower that soaks the floor because the screen is too small. Air con that is just about ok. And the biggest issue for me the beds. You have the option of 2 single or 1 double but a double is just 2 singles pushed together with a ridge down the middle. Even without the ridge it was one of the most uncomfortable beds I have slept on. Please don't be put off by these small negative points. It is a great place and I would recommend it to anyone.

Great hotel, very clean, staff very professional and just across from the beach....we had a great time for the entire 8 days we stayed there. A lot of facilities like spa and gym and plenty of pools. Really great for couples that don't have kids and want quiet time at the pool as well as great entertainment.
