Mary's Boon Beach Resort & Spa

A gem of a property which was well maintained and family orientated staff, some who have been there since day 1.

I chose to stay at this property cuz of the affordable price & they have a pool & beach just as you walk out. However the "semi basement" room- was definitely not semi, rather a full bsmnt as if you're in the sewer underground!! Roaches, horrible humidity/smell, the last night there was a sewer back up into the shower drain & the toilet did not flush properly. I got sick from the horrible smell & pollution of all that! there's no reception past 9pm at the latest nor security past 11pm at the latest-So I couldn't even ask for another room to at least shower after being out in 105° all day. The room next door to me was a family that checked out a bit before & had the exact same complaint of sewer backup and roaches. They gave me the idea in the morning to ask for a key across the hall to shower. That room had horrible smoking smell. I complained the first day I got there but nobody moved me. A few days into it I asked the reception and she said "who will pay the difference?" Completely unheard of and unacceptable!! The surrounding staff are very nice. Never got to meet the manager. Owner was not around till the second last day. twin sisters receptionists are sweet but they def should have offered to move my room from the 1st complaint of the roaches. It's slow season/not full! I complained everyday about it & that last night of the sewer backup topped it off!!! I didn't even complain about the other small stuff! All I got was a refund for 2 of the 6 nites. Ruined my vacation..!

Everything was excellent ! The service, clean, food, family environment, nice people 😀👍

On the beach, close to airport makes for lots of good sightings. Also wonderful bay to swim, skido, sail in.
