InterContinental Doha The City, an IHG Hotel

One of the worst family stay inside a hotel in doha Qatar, customer service was the worst I ever seen. The receptionist does not care about the well being of someone who brings their family to the hotel. Alot of minor miscellaneous stuff was not meet.

This has to be one of the best Hotels I have stayed at especially with a growing family. This was our 1st holiday as a 4 and was not sure what to expect with a 3 bedroom suite. But we were extremely happy with what we got. My daughter got to choose the room she wanted and we had a spare room for all our toys and activities for my daughter to enjoy. The fact we had our own living room, dining table and kitchen as well as 3 bathrooms, really made us feel homely away from home. It really made our stay enjoyable. Not only were the rooms incredible, but the staff and environment were extremely welcoming. My daughter made friends with many of the members of staff and they really took to her as well and were very well trained for their job. The swimming pool (although could have been bigger) was a massive plus as my daughter loved it and spent an hour every day there and even made friends too. The food options during breakfast as well as dinner were vast and the speciality days for dinner were also incredible. Around the hotel, everything was very local. The central city mall was only a 10 minute walk away and catching an uber to go anywhere you wanted was within a 30 minute drive away. Overall I would give our stay and this hotel a solid 9/10 and would recommend this hotel to any growing family looking for a central location to stay in Doha.

We had an average stay at InterContinental City. We booked a Junior suite for the kitchen depicted on photos as we have a young baby and need to cook. But turned out there was no kitchen in the room. We were moved to a bigger suite with kitchen, but no view. Some of the staff were excellent (Innocent) but other were really not helpful. One turned away our delivery order. Then, the manager on duty was unresponsive and absent-minded. I was not impressed with how the management dealt with situations. The rooms were nice, WiFi strong and good. Location is wonderful, close to City Center Mall and the metro and many dining options. That was great.

The staff were incredible, friendly and couldn't do enough for myself and baby. Will stay here again when next in Qatar.
