This was a very touristy spot and all the hotels around the area were busy and just ok.Maybe better for families? Our hotel was the nicest on the strip. I like more quaint hotels and this hotel wasn’t that quaint. The lobby is nice and we had a great time in the lounge area. It is right on the Ocean and we did go to the beach .

We loved our week at Dom Jose Hotel. Super clean with friendly staff, and conveniently located. We will definitely be back, and we are recommending this hotel to family and friends.

I and my family stayed there last year and was fine, with a good service. This time, the team at the evening in the reception was indifferent, very cold and unfriendly. My benefits as a Expidia Gold member was a inconvenience for the hotel.

We didn’t check in until 10pm and despite booking a superior room we were given a pretty standard family room at check in - we presented check in staff with our Expedia booking, pictures pointing out the difference and even reference to their own website which made it clear we were in a basic room! Despite just paying for the room they could not refund the monies as we were prepared to go to another hotel. Issue resolved midday next day when duty manager was on available. Absolutely disgusted by whole process and feel quite ripped off, they were claiming Expedia had booked a family room, we’ve used you enough over the years to know that wasn’t the case.

Just amazing calm and family place to stay! The views are amazing, the pool, the bar the staff etc! The location is amazing close by you have an a seafood restaurant called ”Sol e Mar “ with amazing Portuguese food!
