Telephone not working. Never fixed it. Could not call room service for the 3 days. Otherwise a nice hotel. Clean rooms, spacious. Nice balcony to sit out. Breakfast was expensive. €25 per person. For a family of 4, it turned out expensive. We decided to go out and eat and cost for 4 was €40. Hotel needs to think about this. Also, since i booked via expedia, i could not get HHonors points. Which i feel is not right. I am spending the money, but no credit.

This is a beautiful hotel but the pool arrangements need some attention. While fully understanding that children love to be in the pool there is no facility for adults who want to swim and not have to dodge ongoing water fight battles. There is a quiet area but this is often in partial shade and the pool is small..The Hilton in Malta which I would rate as 5 has a designated pool for over 16 year olds as well as large family areas That arrangement works well.

The Hilton Vilamoura was beautiful, the rooms were lovely and clean, the staff was incredibly kind! The breakfast was lovely and worth the extra fee. I was travelling with 2 kids under 6 and the staff were all so kind to them. We were there in March and I believe the outdoor pools had just opened so they were cold, but the indoor pool is lovely. My 5 year old loved the playground and the staff there was so nice! I would definitely return here.

This hotel is obviously good for groups and golfers but not really family. It’s just not baby friendly. Although there were lots of babies there at the same time, the service around them was quite poor. There’s almost nothing to feed an 11 month old for any meal and this was the hardest thing. The pool is freezing so when it’s their only activity of the day it’s so disappointing. There’s nowhere to sit outside and have a drink. The entrance to the kids club is up a few flights of stairs so no way you can get a buggy up unless you lift it. Just small things would make this place so much better. I was disappointed and won’t go back.

The mattresses are rock solid so make sure you ask for a 'topper' which make them bearable to lie on, we didn't do this for 3 nights as we didn't think there was anything that could be done however after the third night where we both woke up with severe back pains we spoke to the desk and they were very good at making sure the toppers were put on the same day, their reaction makes me think this is a common complaint. The main complaint I have for this hotel is that the maids are very noisy when they work. I understand they have jobs to do and cant exactly creep around however I think a little more respect could have been shown especially when they know you are sleeping by putting the do not disturb sign up. As we a couple with no children with us we had some late nights and wanted lie ins in the morning but every day we were woken up by the maids this included banging the door with the hoover when doing the carpet outside the room, placing the linen cart against our wall when doing the room opposite and slamming the drawers shut and clattering around. The worst morning when the room above ours must have been vacated and for 20 minutes the furniture was being moved around the floor to clean but instead of picking up chairs etc they dragged them so they made a horrendous loud scrapping sound. At this point we phoned down to the desk to complaint but it carried on for another 15 minutes, this was at 7am. We spoke to the desk about these issued on several occasions to no avail.

We were very pleasantly surprised that our accommodation was so huge. The staff were very attentive and ready to assist in any way they could. Great Hotel for young families. Breakfast really good. Great choice of different foods. My only criticism would be that to make a good cup of tea, boiling water is required and we had to constantly request this. Also I like my drinking chocolate really hot and again, I feel this could be improved upon. The appearance of the hotel is very impressive, the grounds lovely. We had a very peaceful holiday here, which is what we needed.

The Hilton Hotel, was a great choice. We enjoyed it from the moment we checked in. We stayed for my Daughters 10th Birthday, she enjoyed it very much. We had a two bedroom apartment, was very well equipped with washing machine, Dish washer Microwave, pots pans, cutlery, everything you would need. We felt very comfortable, it was like we were at home. The staff was well mannered and polite. We really reccomend this hotel for families, especially if you want time out for yourself, they have a monitored kids clubs, the staff there were great with my daughter.

Poor experience not expected from a 5-star hotel. Closer to 2-stars. This is my second stay in the complex, but based on my recent experience, is likely to be the last. Previously visited As Cascatas serviced apartments are significantly better than the hotel rooms. The two connected rooms booked for the family of four (2 adults and 2 young children) were in derelict and heavily used condition: - broken furniture in bedrooms including bent bed legs which made the beds wonky, - lumpy mattresses which resulted in uncomfortable sleep, - soundproofing does not work (pool side rooms will not be quiet enough to put and keep young kids in bed, scheduled entertainment can get too loud, albeit it cuts off at 10pm), - walk-in showers that pump cold water without any sign of warming up, - poorly arranged kitchen designed for people who do not cook, - unintuitive location of cooking utensils and cutlery (no useful instructions in sight), - blunt knives, - fitted dishwasher separated from the cabinet unit (I had to push the unit back in it's place several times), - small under-the-counter fridge with misaligned doors, - broken kitchen door hinges, - kitchen skirting boards out of alignment due to the dishwasher and fridge issues (had to push everything back in it's place just to use the kitchen), - broken crockery and glassware (chipped broken glass was missed, the staff will run the dishwasher but do not expect any quality control), - pool towel was removed by cleaning staff.

The food was fantastic. It's a bit far from the marina. We hired a car so it was not too bad. If you are a golf lover with kids, it's the perfect play to stay , swim and eat . They have round 5 pools. It's not heated though , except the little pool.
