We had a fantastic stay in a junior suite room which was incredibly spaceous! We were also able to enjoy the Club facilities which were also fantastic. Club room was not huge, but the views were good, food options excellent and the bar staff were extremely friendly and inviting. We liked it so much we changed our hotel reservation in another hotel so that we could stay again at the end of our holiday!

Stayed here for a couple of nights, with family. Overall, a very good hotel. Great location - right in CBD, with Sky Tower at a walkable distance. The room was spacious, nice, well-furnished. The hotel staff was very courteous and friendly. Nice bar next to the lobby to unwind and relax. Overall, we had a great experience.

We stayed at the Grand Millennium for a girls shopping weekend. Two adults and two young teens. The girls thought it was so fancy and it was really nice just a little dated. The room was a great size for the four of us and the beds and pillows were really comfortable. The bathroom was also large with a really good shower. We used the pool which was fun and the lobby was nice too. Walking distance to Queen street where we went for dinner. The only downsides were the fan/central heating in the room was quite loud and the free VIP wine that we got through Expedia was house wine only and it was disgusting, we couldn't even drink it. Would stay there again, especially as a family. The parking was also very convenient and much cheaper then other hotels in Auckland - $25 instead of $70 which some hotels charge!

3 star - definitely not a 4.5 If you like being questioned about your reservation, not given the room your booking says you booked, no valet parking, no bottled water and non existent bathroom soaps etc - then this is the hotel for you! We booked a 2 queen bed club room. Our booking included complimentary canapés and drinks, parking, breakfast and complimentary drinks. However despite showing our booking on check in we were told our reservation was the room rate only. When I questioned this I was told the other things listed was just saying what was available. Had to get the booking out again and point to each inclusion. She then went and got an pre made envelope with information about the room and our inclusions. Couldn’t understand what it was about till we got our room. We had a booking for 2 queen beds and were given 2 double beds. When I queried this I was told we were in a family room - that’s not the room we booked. We were told all beds are doubles even though there are varying rooms that can be booked with varying bed sizes - king singles, doubles, queens and kings. No valet parking. After checking in you have to go park your own car in the Wilson’s car park next door and you have a code (if your parking is included in your room) that allows you to take your car out. If no code you pay. Little amenities in the bathroom. One very little soap, one tiny body wash, shampoo and conditioner. No minibar. Breakfast is good.

We loved our stay, we were on the 9th floor amazing view inside. Rooms clean and good enough for us, nice and quite and comfy beds. Ordered room service was fast and yummy. No information booklet on hotel in room, only room service menu, staff gave directions to find the pool on level 4. Pool is a good size, just a bit deep for kiddies. Changing room even had showers and towels. Lovely outside garden area with sun chairs. Decided to eat downstairs at the restaurant was a dinner to remember Emma was great. Food was ok very pricey, kids food came out fast but was a mix up, had to order it again with no sauce and I did wait a long time for my food, Emma took both items off the bill. Will stay again, overall we had a great stay.

Generally fine place to stay. With a 24 hour room service; Nice entrance; Staff could have been less salty; did not really feel welcomed perhaps they were tired or found my family and I to he just another guest. Particularly, when i checked out, I think staff could have been more cordial. But perhaps these things happen when its Christmas day . The food was really good for the price and the service was really fast. The room was quite clean but the beds were too soft and uncomfortable. It took time to get used to it. The room and furniture was a little dated but if it does not bother you, the room is decent.
