Maxhotel Amsterdam Airport Schiphol

Decent hotel. Neither more or less. Four stars because the sound proofing was excellent. Close to Schiphol with airplanes passing over head all the time, still it was possible to sleep like a baby. Bus into Amsterdam is possible (but expensive), bus for the Schiphol train becomes very expensive. No breakfast, which for me is much better than a bad overpriced breakfast. Towels and cleaning is not regularly, but is done on demand, worth to notice.

Close to the airport, very comfortable room, has space for families. We had a queen bed with three single beds smallish room as a tourist but very convenient and they used all the space available for what needed to go into the room. Staff was super friendly and helped get us a taxi back to the airport!

My family had made a reservation of the hotel for a transfer in Amsterdam Airport. Dirt and trash on the floor, candy wrappers in the grooves behind the bed, a broken shower handle... Disgusting. This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Don't book this hotel if you don't want to be grossed out!

After waiting an hour (no kidding) to check in, we found they did not have our room available- even though it was prepaid. They instead gave us a triple room for four people promising extra blankets. Those never arrived. And, they did not refund us the difference in cost of the room. Others trying to check in had reservations and were told they could sleep in the lobby. Do not book here.

Our family of five stayed here the night before our flight home to the States so we could be close to Schiol airport. It felt dirty, really small, and the bathroom felt like I was showering on top of the toilet on an airplane. The glass around the bathroom was frosted, but wasn’t get private. I woke up feeling like I slept in a closet, as there was no where to spread out comfortably, aside from the fire twin beds crammed into a too-small room.

Had a family room for 5, very small and was about $250 for the night. Checking in lady was very nice, but room was less than desire. It was small and cramp to have 1 queen and 3 single beds. Main thing was AC was barely on as it was still stuffy and hot at night Then there’s lack of hotel shuttle when all other hotels nearby offer courtesy shuttle bus but we had to get public bus for 5 and still pay $250 for this type of dormitory like hotel. Again, staff was very friendly, but it’s definitely very budget hotel in everything else

We stayed 2 nights first the room smells so bad , pillows, sheets, bathroom smells so bad too , when we need to sleep we can’t take breaths bc of the smells. I asked them to change the pillows she said we don’t have any new pillows. I don’t recommend the hotel for people, pay your the difference money to sleep well and rest specially after kind and tired day. The room was hot too not air conditioning only in the reception it’s cold and the room not , my children have hard time to get to sleep bc of the smell and the hot room.

I booked this as we had an overnight wait between flights. We got a family room which consisted of a double bed and two single beds. Compared to the thought of a night in the terminal we could not have faulted it. It was clean, had a TV and the beds for were comfy. The shower room was great and there was soap provided. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is not a shop nearby. However, there is a McDonald’s nearby if you are stuck for something to eat and they also have a few snacks and drinks available at the hotel. You can even get a can of beer or a small glass of wine. To get there, we got the bus at stand B6 and then took the number 300 to Harlem for two stops. The bus was just over a euro each so cheap and fast. A word of caution. We tried to get the bus back to the airport the next morning and the bus driver tried to charge me over €6 each! We got off the bus and got on the next one only a few minutes later and it was the same price as the one we had taken. Not sure if the bus driver was trying to rip me off. Overall, I would definitely use this hotel again if I needed somewhere for a night. I think my daughter described it best when she said it was like a very high end youth hostel.
