This is one of the worst hotels I have stayed in. We have traveled the world and stayed in many places. The staff totally racially profiled us family of 4. We ended up leaving and paying for another hotel. We were treated much worse than other people. They even followed us around to make sure we were not stealing or damaging anything. If you are traveling to Amsterdam stay in a place that treats people fairly.

I stayed in the Leonardo Boutique with my 2 children and the room was spacious enough to fit us all comfortably. The location was perfect for museums and restaurants as well as the park. The breakfast was delicious and staff very friendly and helpful. The only small thing was they had run out of cheese toasties on the day we checked out and needed lunch before travelling to the airport, which was a bit tricky with kids needing lunch, but otherwise I would highly recommend and I will definitely return without children at some point.

Horrible, absolutely horrible. First they gave us a room underground witch my family found strange and after not even 20 minutes in the hotel room, we noticed we couldn’t even lock our hotel room door which means anyone can bust in because our door lock was broken. Then we found so much ants and bugs on the bed and on the floor basically everywhere. We went up to the front desk to tell them about this and we even showed a photo for proof. And they offered to clean it up as if it were that easy to clean it up. After they offered a new room to us, which we thought would actually be in the upper floors so there would be no bugs crawling on the floors, but they just gave us the room beside, and there was still bugs, even a dead one on the bed. We didn’t want to cause them too much trouble so we were okay with it for now. Then we tried to ask for the wifi password, they said if we ever needed anything, we can dial their number and they would pick up, nothing. They didn’t pick up so we were forced to head downstairs. Some other things we saw were bugs such as lady bugs crawling on the walls and spiderwebs forming from lights. Not to mention that this is not at all worth the price. Around €300 per night? Not pleased at all. Whole family felt uncomfortable the entire night.

Our family loved our stay here. It’s perfectly located near to the museums and Vondelpark, and just a short walk/bike ride away from the city center. The hotel itself is very comfortable and the staff were all amazingly kind and attentive. They really went the extra mile to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible. Will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Amsterdam.

Beautiful hotel with fantastic service. Our family of 4 stayed in a beautiful room with a view. Amazing location a few minutes walk from several major museums, as well as Vondelpark Park, restaurants, including Hard Rock Cafe. Hotel even rented us bicycles.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!! 1. MICE. We woke up to a MOUSE foraging in our room at 03:00. Had to wake kids, repack suitcases, and move to another room. We received no apology or compensation except some breakfast vouchers. 2. UNPROFESSIONAL, POTENTIALLY CRIMINAL STAFF. When I went to check out, the night clerk informed me I would need to pay an additional charge, but could not explain what the charge was for. I paid. When my father-in-law tried to check out, the clerk said that the hotel owed him money, but that he would need to provide a bank account number to receive it. I complained that these charges and credits didn't make sense, and that refusing to credit one account after charging another was self-inconsistent. I also complained that asking for guests' bank account numbers is not safe. The clerk responded to this by walking around from behind the desk to stand directly in front of me, telling me I was being "too emotional" and was "not acting like a man" (his words). When I asked the clerk for his name so I could discuss it with the manager, he refused to provide it. He also refused to provide my father in law with a receipt. Instead, he told us that we had to leave the hotel immediately (me, my wife, 2 seniors, and 2 kids, at 3:30 am). We were all waiting for a taxi to the airport. I called an Uber just to get out of there, as the situation felt very unsafe. Thankfully it arrived quickly. What a terrible and frightening experience :(
