The room was large with a great bathroom and shower although the furniture was quirky and seemed homemade 😊
It was next to a school and the children played in the streets during breaks so it could be a bit noisy as the windows didn't shut properly, we didn't mind and were up early but some might find it a little loud. Breakfast was fine but we preferred eating at different places each day.

I had a great stay at Hotel Fita. It is nicely located with public transportation close by. Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk Museum, and the Christmas Market are just steps away. There is an English style buffet breakfast with a good assortment of food. My corner room was spacious and beautiful. There is a school close by and I hear children playing happily during recess, which usually occurs around 9am when I am already awake. The staff is warm, friendly, and helpful. Most importantly, as a solo traveler, the area feels safe with upscale shops and nice restaurants close by. I plan to stay there again the next time that I'm in Amsterdam.

Our room was great with large windows at the front of the hotel with more space than most hotel rooms. (Our travel companions had a tiny room.) Our room and the hotel were very clean and the breakfast room was wonderful! The staff was very helpful and on call at all times. The hotel was in a nice neighborhood with happy children's laughter during the day and quiet at night. It was within walking distance to the Rijksmuseum. I would recommend this hotel to anyone of my friends visiting Amsterdam!

Great location, except next to an outdoor day care/kindergarten space with 100 noisy kids.
I booked expecting a double bed and got as single, very small, and facility was not willing to change my room.
I found a sweater left in my room by previous guest, and potato chips under the bed. A/C controller did not work and was not replaced until 3rd day. Empty kleenex box.

This quaint, comfortable hotel is conveniently located on a quiet street near the major museums and upscale shopping. The personable staff are the best and go out of their way to help with all of your needs while staying at the hotel. They even provide free laundry during the stay. In short, the staff treats the guests as family. The breakfast provided is more than sufficient and they provide home made Dutch pancakes.
While it is an older property common to Amsterdam, it has the steep narrow steps between floors but also has a small elevator that allows one to avoid the stairs. This hotel is definitely a great value and would not hesitate to stay again if in Amsterdam.

We loved Hotel Fita! It is a small family hotel and the staff was SO friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was excellent. Location was the best, very quiet and just a very short walk to the tram and museums. We would definitely recommend this hotel. The only issue for some may be that there are several steep steps to get into the hotel, but staff will help with your luggage.

My room was on the ground level, meaning in the basement. My window opened to a playground that was used by preschool aged children to play from 7:30 am until 6:30 pm, making it difficult to rest. At night there were teenagers from the youth hostel that were very loud until 2am. There were no vents in my room so it was very muggy. Disappointing stay.

The location of this family run hotel couldn't be bettrer for reaching both major museums- Van Gogh at one end of the street along with frquent tram service in to the cemter of Amsterdam . The Rijcks is at the other end of the street this hotel is on again with tram connections nearby. There is shopping in the vicinity and some very up market clothese shops nearby. Staff helped us get scarce tickets for Anne Franks House-nothing seemed too much.
