No. 377 House

We recently stayed at N. 377 House in Amsterdam and were thoroughly impressed with our experience. The highlight was undoubtedly the stunning view from our window—a picturesque scene that made every morning special. The property was immaculate, and the check-in process was seamless, adding to the overall ease of our stay. However, the room's compact size presented some challenges; for instance, accessing the other side of the bed required a bit of a climb over, which was less than ideal. Additionally, we found the city tax charge for booking two rooms rather than one (due to space constraints for our family of three) to be a bit steep, especially since we made a single reservation. It would have been appreciated if the hotel had considered waiving the additional tax for the second room. Despite these issues, the positives outweighed the negatives, making for a memorable visit.

This hotel was advertised to be non-smoking, yet the hallway outside Rm 002/003 have cigarette and/or cannabis smell almost at all times. Hotel staff was aware someone smoking/cannabis in their room but lack enforcement causing the stench to be there in the main aisle/hallway outside my room doors since Rm 002/003 are literally on the main entry way. That is not what we expect from a non-smoking hotel facility and unacceptable esp. traveling with kids. Stay away from this hotel if you want a nonsmoking facility Throughout my stay, I have Do not Disturb (DND) sign on and I make sure that light is illuminated as confirmed by Astrid @front desk. Sometime in 12/29 afternoon, while we were sway, hotel housekeeping ignored those signs and entered both rooms. Upon pressing, Astrid confirmed the housekeeping entered the rooms that has DND sign on and she has to ask the housekeeping to get out of the rooms. It is very suspicious as the housekeeper were making rooms that morning. It certainly looks like the housekeeping is looking for a time the rooms are not occupied to enter. If you care about your privacy & safety of your belongings, there should be much better choice around. Rm 002/003 was basically on the ground fl. and it is so noisy and you can hear all the noise from the hallway, reception, the street. It is impossible to sleep throughout our 2 nights stay. Rm 003, door won't even lock @checkin. Think twice and hard before you book.
