We returned after 5 years of being away, it has lost some of its charm, parking was packed, first room barely had hot water pressure was moved to another room and it was better. Venders in the lobby which was honestly annoying since we spent all day being haggled by venders off property only to come to the hotel and continue to be bothered. The bellhop and front desk were very inviting when we first arrived, champagne, cold towel and help with our bags was nice. Breakfast was decent but the orange juice wasn’t the same as 5 years ago. It didn’t taste freshly squeezed. lol would recommend to friends and family. Beach is beautiful to look at but wouldn’t swim in it.

I loved this hotel! First off I have to mention how quiet it was! I'm kind of a difficult sleeper so this matters a lot to me . Also the beds are so comfortable! I slept like a baby. I was on the 5th floor so waking up each morning and going on the large balcony to look out at the beautiful ocean and lovely pool made my day. As well, I could view the amazing sunsets from the balcony. The staff were amazing. We ate breakfast at the hotel and it had a huge selection and was good. I would recommend asking for The breakfast package when you check in. We didn't know about this so it cost us more. But great coffee and individually cooked egg dishes- amazing chilliquilles, fruit and much more. A big shout to the staff: David, Marcos and Dani- all were so helpful friendly and attentive. But really all the staff was great! The only downside about the location is it is far from other restaurants and beaches. (There is a small beach at the hotel) But everything is just a short cab ride away- Enjoy!

We have stayed at this property 3x. It is very quiet and laid back. Staff is friendly and everything is clean. We had 2 minor issues. I had booked a Garden room on the 1st level so my kids could easily go to the pool. We were put in a 2nd level room so I had to go back and this changed. Secondly, our AC was turned off by the cleaning person and we had to get maintenance to get it reset.

Overall really great stay. Rooms were surprisingly large for 2 adults and 2 kids to cohabitate for 10 days without getting sick of each other. Food was pretty good for standard hotel fare. All the staff were super friendly and went out of their way to accommodate requests.

Awesome property, and clean! staff was very friendly. A great place for adults to go, we went duringn the off season and no kids were there. It was quiet and relaxing. Clean beach and resort Cons- They had no hot water but it was so hot there it didnt really matter to much. They also dont give us americans enough water to drink in the room. We had to ask everyday for more water.

What I liked: - The hotel is clean and staff at restaurants and pool bar are friendly and attentive. - The pool is nice and most of the days quiet and relaxing. - The private beach area is nice with good areas without algae. - Some dishes at the Numa restaurant we’re delicious (Numa soup, Shrimp pasta, Caramelized Salmon, etc) What I didn’t like: - There is nothing todo around the hotel and I didn’t feel safe walking outside. - There is a place nearby to rent golf carts. Do not go there, it is fishy and guys there are not trustworthy. - Strong mildew smell in the room and sewer smell on bathroom. - Not sure if it was a problem with my room but I rarely had hot water (even warm water) and hot water pressure was almost none during some days. - Front desk staff are not very helpful and clearly need more training/education. For instance, when checkin is in and introducing the hotel, person ignored us for a while to talk with some other guests of the hotel. Very unprofessional. - Front desk staff did not offer to help with our luggage when checking out via boat dock. - Although people at restaurant were super helpful and friendly, I did not like the fact they were always around, picking up stuff from the table and always asking if we needed anything else. I like relaxing a bit with family during meals and having staff always sneaking around was uncomfortable…but this is my opinion.

My wife, Susan and I were guests at the Izla Hotel on Isla Mujeres island from June 20, 2023 to June 26, 2023. This truly was one of the best vacations we have ever had. We were treated like royalty by all the staff members, from the employees at the front desk to the house keepers, to all the servers. Special thanks go to the following servers: Moises, Raúl, Cristián, Arturo, Marco, Chef Claudio, the young woman who served us on the beach and countless others, too many mention. They made us feel like we were part of their family. The hotel was spotless and the layout at the beach and pool were magnificent! We are planning to go back next year!

The hotel did not have hot water for four of the five nights we were there. There was no communication from management about how or when that situation would be resolved. While being without hot water was inconvenient, the lack of communication was very frustrating! The beach in front of the hotel is small and quiet. They’ve put some type of rug or carpeting in the sand at the waters edge to try to combat beach erosion. This makes for really weird mushy sand in places, with really rocky, sharp, jagged sand in other places. Water shoes for this beach are highly recommended! The water on the beach in front of the hotel is clear and shallow enough that she can go out quite far and still touch the bottom. It was a great place to let the kids snorkel. While they do clean the pool every day, the water is murky and you often cannot see your feet while standing in it because of all the sand. The staff is amazing, friendly and accommodating. The main restaurant is pretty typical of hotel restaurants - overpriced and mediocre, but convenient. We did not try the dinner restaurant.
