Hesitant to leave this review as we want to keep this undiscovered gem all to ourselves, however it deserves to be shared. Our first trip back to Isla since bringing our kids in 2004. My incredible wife planned this trip for just the 2 of us for a bday celebration and she chose Bahia Tolok. SO AMAZING. This little jewel was perfect. While small and intimate, the hotel itself is a perfect balance of indoor/outdoor spaces, the small secluded beach, the unique salt water pool w/ shaded hammocks, a relaxing deck for reading, dining, cocktails or just chilling and watching the yachts, seabirds & sailboats. We stayed in the duplex studio (#15) with a huge outdoor kitchen (sink, cook top, micro, fridge, and cool bar w/ chairs) and living area w/ a hammock and awesome eastern views to the ocean. Inside were two comfy queen beds, desk, TV (Spanish stations, no streaming), bathroom w/ shower (pressure & hot water were great) and A/C was ice cold. All of the staff are friendly, gracious and helpful (Fabby at the desk and Kevin for food & drink were exceptional)!. It is a perfect location, quiet, laid back and a pleasant walk along the water to or from the ferry and the bars & shops of Centro. Great bodega next door w/ the Soggy Peso nearby. Walking distance to groceries, and w/ a golf cart, bike or taxi, the sights of the south end of island with awesome beach clubs, restaurants & bars are a short adventure away. We love Bahia Tolok, but please don't tell anyone else!
