JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa

This location is our "home away from home"! We discovered this Resort 4 yours ago, and have come back every year. Clean, comfortable, good location, but the best part are your people! When we arrive many recognize us, and several remember my children and my names. I feel like it's a reunion with friends. I'm also so happy that this is not a "all-inclusive" resort. We eat at all the the restaurants there, but like the option to also explore the area.

The property is definitely a lux one, located in the hotel zone, right on beach. While it isn't a private beach, there isn't public access to the resort from the beach. Keep in mind that this is not an all-inclusive resort, though it's sister property (Marriott, next door) is. We purposely chose to not stay at an all-inclusive. Now that we spent a week there, I think cost-wise, all-inclusive would have been the easier route as we had kids with us. They do have a club 91 program which you can kind of treat like an all-inclusive, but it's only at specific times and on the 14th floor. So, you wouldn't be able to bring your lunch from there to eat down by the pool or on the beach. Our room was the Caribbean suite which had a separate living room and king size bedroom with 1.5 bath and TWO balconies! The view was amazing to wake up to and look at all day long. The staff was very friendly, attentive and willing to make our stay comfortable. I highly recommend the property if you are looking for a quieter, luxurious vacation without the party crowd. Be prepared to pay though, as the restaurants are on the pricier side (on site and walking distance from property). If I could have it my way, it would be JW Marriott a standard all inclusive. One thing that was really fun is that the hotel lobby has a list of 150 different margaritas to choose from!

Always love our trip to JW Marriott, Cancun and will continue to visit as frequently as our schedule will allow. The staff, the property itself, and vibe all combine to make a supremely peaceful and relaxing vacation getaway. This was also our first visit with our daughter who is seven. She’s already begging to return, so I’d say this place is also kid approved!

Pros- We booked Cancun E transfer for to and fro from airport to the resort. They are excellent in their service and help. Check in was smooth and welcoming. Room excellent. Entire family loved it. View is out of this world. Overall facilities and the staff help and attitude is excellent. You get rejuvenated. Location is fantastic. Food varieties and several restaurants on the site is an added advantage. Only issue we had was that there was construction going on. Jack hammer noise and other noises on the roof and the ground were very annoying. Having severe headache from these noises was not pleasant. They did gave us complimentary breakfast to compensate. However I wished they had informed us when we booked- we could have changed the dates. Having migraines from the noise and unable to rest the entire day from the noise is not what we paid for.

The hotel is great, the service impecable. The rooms are spacious and the ocean view is amazing. We went on a family trip with the kids and we all had an amazing time. I will go back and highly recommend it.

My daughter and I had an amazing time at the resort. The location on the beach was perfect for us, but the resort was fantastic. The staff were absolutely extraordinary- warm, helpful, impeccable service at all if the restaurants, at reception, poolside, housekeeping- every single person we interacted with treated us like family. Incredible service. The restaurants were all fantastic, especially Gustino’s our favorite and Sasi was also fantastic. We had such an amazing time, I hope we can go back soon.
