It was exactly what I thought it would be. We had a great family vacation

The Camino Real Zaashila is a beautiful resort. The architecture and setting are beautiful and the beach is gorgeous and very swimable. Staff are attentive and food is very good. The only thing I’d like to note is that when we booked through Expedia it came up under all inclusive resorts and I booked with that assumption. Completely my fault for not paying more attention but we were taken aback when we arrived and discovered it’s NOT an all inclusive. As it turned out, we enjoyed exploring La Crucecita restaurants as well an eating at hotel. Food was report is good but it’s not inexpensive so be sure you know what you’re booking. Expedia - when search criteria includes all inclusive resorts that are not all inclusive should not be presented. We weren’t the only ones who had this experience, as we came across another family who were similarly deluded.

This property was beautiful! The beach was right behind us. Our room had a beautiful view of the beach and I booked the suite with a pool. My kids swam while I packed away. Beautiful property perfect for kids and family.

Amazing private beach resort with fantastic views. Great beach front chairs with shade and a fantastic pool that is perfect for children. Had a great lunch at their beachside restaurant that also has a great kids pool area. Overall one of the best beach vacations we have had anywhere.

Took over an hour to check in, room was not ready. Requesting towels and trash bags took hours and I mean hours to deliver if they ever delivered. Had to walk to the lobby and wait there to be able to get the items. Also the breakfast buffet lady named Alicia charged me for 4 adults when when had 1 kid when asked she said that was the price. The next day we went again this time my husband paid she charged him the correct amount. They did not offer a refund and we had no time to argue, we needed to catch our flight.
