Check in experience not great, 30 min wait, no welcome drink offered, arrived at 11am so room not available until 3pm. When we asked for room at 3pm was told still not available. Finally got room at 4pm. Only staying one night so not great.
Weather was stormy on and off and they closed the beach club at midday just as the sun was coming back out. Not ideal as only adult only area. 100’s of kids at main pool which remained open through the weather.
All the decent spots for sunbeds at beach club now only for paying day guests not hotel guests. All had reserved signs on and all were empty. Disappointing as we love to sit by the waters edge and now you can’t.
We will now book somewhere else because of this. The Westin next door for example.
Such a shame as this has changed since our last visit. I guess all about making more money but to the detriment of hotel guests.

Just returned and cannot wait to go back. As a family of 4 this hotel offered everything we could ever need. The variety of pools worked so well with the children able to play with balls and inflatables in one pool but adults could get away from it all in another. The service was excellent, the food fabulous. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Hilton Malta is one of my favourite hotels, we as a family go every year and it’s our sanctuary.
I had a few things that annoyed me a bit this year, room service came pretty late, most of the days around 3ish pm when we wanted to have a nap, they’re very good though and came back later.
Saturday and Sunday was packed around the pool area, apparently only hotel guests, but lots of Maltese people do stay cations, unless you’re down by at pool at 8 am, it’s pretty hard to find a sun bed. Also, unless you have breakfast very early, it’s a long line to get into the breakfast.. we had no issues Mon-Fri. I get that they want to fill all rooms, but it got too crowded for my taste. I’ve never experienced this before.
I’ll definitely go back, but might do fewer days and go somewhere else for half of the break.

This hotel is very well situated but outdated. It has a huge list of amenities but definitely not for adult couples and more of a child friendly resort.

Beautiful hotel and the staff were so welcoming and helpful. We definitely recommend for staying with children.

Lovely hotel in every way.
Great facilities - we used the gym, the indoor pool, the bars, Thai restaurant, outdoor pool area, outdoor bar area. Had a family room for three of us, with two double beds. Clean, with plenty of electricity and charging sockets, etc.
Great location, if you want the outdoor pool and sunbathing area. Hotels in the centre of Valetta will be closer to the centre of Valetta but don't have those facilities. Bus stops are close to the hotel, and buses between the hotel and Valetta bus station are very regular, cost 2.50 Euros and take 45 minutes. The express bus is 3.00 Euros and takes 20 minutes. An Uber was 8 Euros.
It's on the expensive side, but you get the Hilton service that goes with it. Worth it in our view.

Guests barred from quiet pools x 2! whole day/night because of private corporate party. No advance notice. Loud beat box type party music ALL day and disco all night! Executive lounge over crowded - no longer quiet sanctuary it used to be. Evening Executive Lounge pre dinner drinks/canapes very limited - again not what used to be. On site restaurants limited in both opening hours and menu selection. Chose to eat out of hotel most evenings. Quality eateries close to hotel within walking distance. After dinner terrace crowded and not well staffed - had to wait for drinks service. That said, the staff are all very friendly and polite. Room service excellent. They seemed to have influx of local people with families around pools on Saturday/Sunday - possible due to selling weekend passes? This meant guests had to look hard for vacant sunbeds etc. Been coming to Malta Hilton over 25 years - not too happy with changes! Still love Malta!

Almost great! Reception was excellent start to finish! Abishek the frontdesk trainee was amazing & exceeded our expectations. The lounge access were amazing especially the staff there! The only disappointment is the service at breakfast. The staff called Nikki was very rude and racist to me. Any guest shouldn’t be treated and spoken like the way that waitress has spoken to me. I’ve ordered 4x sunny side up eggs from my family at 9:45am 11th April one breakfast morning as I was told by staff that we can order sunny side up from waiters and did not have to queue on omelette station. So I’ve ordered from her. We are almost finish with our bfast so I went to find Nikki. She replied to me saying word per word, “why don’t you get it yourself?”. I was shocked how she didn’t even have a courtesy of informing me with what was going on if the eggs were even ordered or not?! Same time her supervisor I think bald man in suit who has my eggs only had 1 and I’ve ordered 4! He knew how the waitress made me feel and tried to make up by sending something in my room and I said an apology from that nikki will be sufficient enough. Surely if I’m english person she will never talk down on me like that. I never had the apology and I’ve mentioned this incident upon check out and Hilton Malta didn’t keep in touch with me. I love Hilton and I’m a member and to be treated so badly on my holiday is something not really nice. I don’t want to call the whole hotel racist because of that 1 person. Learn
