Popular destination for locals and tourists. We arrived on a Friday and the place was packed. Very good place for young children since they have small playgrounds all around the garden.

Marriot is one of my top favourite hotels in the Deadsea, the facilities, dining options and quality of the space are amazing. Yet, I have faced a big inconvenience, as they gave me a family room (which has a connected room) instead of a regular room, which honestly has zero privacy as you have a door to door room and you can literally hear everything from the other room. They offered us another room that was also NOT convenient at all too, it was 2 separate beds, although I booked for a king size room. The main frustration was that I have booked long time ago to ensure getting a room within my needs, yet the hotel staff were not collaborating and I ended up in a 2 separate beds room, which I didn't book

Loved the hotel overall. It was a comfortable place to stay for easy access to the dead sea beach. The breakfast and dinner buffet was great, plenty to choose from and fresh. The rooms were clean and reasonably quiet until the second day where a noisy family was opposite our room therefore the soundproofing from.the door wasn't great. The safety box in our room didn't work and looked old we didn't want to waste time and energy so didn't report this. Seems very common during our travels in middle east that safety boxes are faulty at first.

The Marriott Dead Sea is an expensive place to stay and what you are paying for is the access to the Dead Sea. The facility is old and it shows, especially in the rooms. The staff seemed overall aloof and not very helpful, beyond just cultural differences. The experience is impersonal. The grounds of the hotel have a chaotic feeling, between the breakfast buffet and the kiddie pool immediately outside of the eating area. The food is mediocre - certainly not something you’ll rave about or want to pay money for.
Examples of things listed:
Someone else’s bags were brought to our room. We had to go down to identify our bags after this but were not allowed to bring our bags to our room ourselves, so had to continue to wait for the bags to be delivered.
There was construction going on in the room next door to ours and there was a strong paint smell in our room in addition to a lot of noise. Overall the walls are thin. We could hear every conversation in the rooms next to ours as well as knocks on doors down the hall.
The staff needed to do “emergency maintenance” at the adult pool so everyone had to leave an hour before it was set to close, and was given 10 minutes notice. Why couldn’t that maintenance happen an hour later?
Pros: access to the Dead Sea, reasonably comfortable bed, good shower.

We love staying at the Marriott Dead Sea resort. The staff are all extremely friendly and welcoming and the facility has a water slide, which the children love. The food is always excellent and the restaurant options are great. Highly recommend, especially if you are going as a family.
