Hotel Monterey Le Frere Osaka

Overall good hotel with a few issues. First off, clean hotel with friendly staff. Amenities/rooms are clean and of good quality. The breakfast buffet was good and I really enjoyed my breakfasts. Good location too. Many restaurants and familymarts close by. One issue that bothered me is that you can access the hotel and your room only via three elevators. During peek hours you may have to wait for a long time. Finally, the noise. I stayed at the 15th floor and the noise from the street was no issue. However, for two nights I was woken up by the noise coming from upstairs. I ended up sleeping with earplugs.

I have to thanks a member of the lobby staff who helped me extensely and kindly with a situation regarding a member of my family. He really made our stay more safe.

We stayed there because we needed 3 beds in a room. Our son graduated the college in Tokyo and traveled together as family. We wanted to visit Osaka Castle and see other part of town. It was a very nice hotel and fun location.

It’s my first time to Japan and I stayed at Hotel Monterey Le Frere Osaka for 4 nights. Everyone from the front desk to room service and room keeping was very friendly and respectful. The hotel also super convenient. Shopping, transportation and restaurant are all around. I am very pleased and has a wonderful time here. I will return very soon with family this time. Very much appreciated all the staffs. Would highly recommend this hotel for your stay if you in Osaka.

Lovely staff. We were able to drop off our luggage before check in. We asked for two rooms close to each other when we arrived a little early. When we checked in they had arranged rooms side by side, this helped our family enormously. Rooms were good size and very clean. Hotel is walking distance from Osaka station, we were misdirected by google maps going through underground area and went to a different station that wasn’t necessary so be aware and try walking above ground unless you know where to go.

Everything is good, value for money, love the underground passage that we can enjoy while walking to the hotel and the exit 11-43 (with escalator) is just right in front of the hotel, super convenient! The room is perfect with large two beds. Public bath is just ok, not spectacular vs other hotels (ie.dormy inn). Public bath is not big (for women, it can contain around 8 persons max) , so highly recommend to avoid the peak hours. Steam room is ok. This is the best hotel in our trip. Highly recommend for family.

Staff cleaning the rooms did an amazing job! Room was always cleaned on time and towels changed. Hotel is near Umeda & Osaka station, making it easier to travel to places like Osaka castle & Dotonbori. Toilet was small but had everything you will need. Staff was polite and pleasant to interact with. Note to those travelling with children or teenagers: some yakiniku restaurants near the hotel do not accept customers below the age of 20.

This is an amazing spot!! Across the street is the famous street with bars and restaurants and shops. Great location for single bar hopping people. We were traveling with kids. It was still a great location with a pharmacy down stairs and a great BBQ place across the Alley, Gozan, you must try this place. The hotel room is bigger than expected and very clean. Definitely recommend this hotel for family and for single travelers.

Great location since it’s near to multiple train stations. Lawson and family mart are right inside the building. Room is clean and decent size. Nice stay!
