Watermark Hotel Nagasaki, Huis Ten Bosch

Excellent harbour view from the room, staffs were nice. But the bathroom was too old, the shower hose had seriously leakage. Need to pay attention if you want to book the room with breakfast for a family with kids. I had booked this hotel with breakfast for 2 adults and 1 kid (4 years old), but the hotel still charged me for 1 kid because the hotel said the package I booked through Expedia did not include kid's breakfast.

The hotel was very near the Huis Ten Bosch amusement park (though near the tail end) and the room assigned was facing the sea which was excellent had we managed to get up on time to catch the sunrise! The room was spacious and fit comfortably for a family of four with young kids. Upon arrival at Hui Ten Bosch, we were slightly confused by the parking and it took a while to understand the instructions for the complimentary parking and luggage dropoff. As we opted to have luggage delivered at the pick up near the parking lot after checkout, they do provide complimentary service just that it takes time (more than 2 hours) so we had to venture out to find other activities while we waited for our luggage

There is no air-conditioning in the room actually even I turned to high... This is the first time that my husband had to take off the clothes while sleeping and my baby was sleeping with swears. I called the receptionist to see if I can turn it cooler, then the receptionist seems cannot understand my question. He continuously said: it is already cold. I am sad that I stayed 2 nights here. Also, we drove the car and arrived at 10:00 p.m. The receptionist asked us to drive back to entrance to park the car and they will arrange a shuttle bus to pick up us after we call. It is really inconvenient with a baby. Then when we parked the car and arrived the waiting point, we called many many times and no one pick up our call! I finally called the Forest hotel to help! How come......????

Peaceful, family friendly location overlooking the marina. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special to celebrate a birthday. There were also several thoughtful amenities for our child. The staff was incredible-professional, friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was buffet style with traditional Japanese and Western cuisine options, as well as delicious local foods. Overall, a very accommodating hotel for families that are visiting Huis Ten Bosch.

Watermark is a dated hotel that has obviously seen better days. Having said that, it is still acceptable as a hotel. HOWEVER, please note that on site parking is NOT available. You need to park your car at a free carpark about 10mins drive away from the hotel and get the hotel’s bus to ferry you and your luggage to the hotel itself. We made the mistake of driving to the hotel directly only to be turned back. This is a highly inconvenient arrangement for families.

The staff is helpful and nice especially they always have a foreign staff who can communicate with English. Breakfast is ok, close to the park. The 1st thing we felt not good enough is the hotel is a bit old and no facilities such as swimming pool. The 2nd one is the toilet is a bit old style without shower tray and the bath tub is very high which very dangerous to kids and elderly.

Large and comfortable family room. Nice surrounding areas
