We had a 3-night stay in the hotel. It was a good value of money, with comfy room. The gym facility was great too! Would definitely recommend to family and friends!

My family and I are extremely unhappy with our stay at the hotel for the following reasons (from most to least serious):
1. The hotel provide a baby crib for my son, which broke in the middle of the night. My son was very scared, cried for 1.5 hours after keeping the rest of us up for hours and we were all shattered for our touring the next day. Thankfully, my son was not injured. A replacement crib was provided further to our request.
2. The hotel booked a car for us to Osaka, which required the booking of a baby car seat for a 1-year old in accordance with Japanese law. No car seat was provided with the car and instead of being apologetic for the mistake, the manager on duty said we needed to pay more for a car seat, did not want to appreciate the seriousness of breaching Japanese law, wasted 1 hour of our time, did not apologize or provide us with an appropriate discount for the mess. He just didn’t seem to care or want to be helpful. No car seat was provided in the end. My family and I are extremely aggrieved by all of this.
3. The bellboy asked for our help to handle our own luggage, and didn’t have the power to handle it. We had to get involved on a basic hotel service.
4. The closet drawers were misaligned and didn’t open or close properly. The staff fixed this upon request.
5. Requesting a late checkout was a big deal and we were asked to pay more for a 1-hour extension.
6. Room not cleaned, had to request it several times.

1. No concierge service (you have to walk to find a taxi). No staff at the hotel is helping you even you have small children.
2. The property is very smelly; especially inside the room. The room is very small and low ceiling.
3. With the price I was paying, this is not a good choice.

This is one of the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The staffs are super friendly and the property is very beautiful. Whenever we requested for some thing, it is always delivered very quickly. My kids enjoyed the stay very much too.

Loved everything about the hotel, very friendly staff and very modern and clean throughout, feels like a very new hotel, would stay here again and recommend to friends and family.
We did not like that we couldn’t get a same day (or same week) reservation at any of the restaurants/tea room on property during our 3 day stay.

The hotel is great .
Very beautiful design and luxury.
The staff are great a specially I would like to mention Rodrigo that was very nice and helpful.
The breakfast is wonderful.
I will come back with my family for sure.

This is an amazing hotel with an exceptionally helpful hotel. We stayed at The Thousand Kyoto for our family vacation for 6 nights and we could not be happier. While the hotel itself has an amazing modern design/style, the staff is what makes this hotel exceptional. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

The room was pristine, the amenities were great - we had access to a crib and free stroller rental for our overseas stay. Technology was cool, we especially loved the robot that delivered ice to our room late in the evening (from around 10p). The aromatherapy upon entry and art features in the lobby (musical, lighted steps and sheer fabric kinetic art feature) were also highly appreciated by our family - a nice calming environment to return to art the end of a long hot day touring Kyoto.
