Kyoto Brighton Hotel

This hotel is more of a western style than Japanese. It made a nice change for us in Japan as a family of four, as we could all comfortably fit in the large family room with four generous beds. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. You also have an option of how much you want your room cleaned each day, which is an excellent feature. It seems so unnecessary to have all your bedding changed every day. The breakfasts were very nice with a wide choice of food from cereal and fruit to beef curry and rice! You can also have eggs cooked to order. The staff were friendly and helpful too. The hotel also has a courtesy bus to take you closer to downtown Kyoto and return back. It’s runs every 20 mins and, like everything in Japan, runs on time and is reliable. We used this every day.

This hotel is amazing. Its rooms are huge and the place is extremely clean. The person who helped us check in, Yuna Song was extremely kind and helpful, helping with out bags and telling us our room. She was amazing and deserves a raise. We also received some great additional gifts for children as well as amenities. The only thing I can possibly think of to improve this place is its location. While it does have restaurants in its lobby, they are, in my opinion, overpriced. It would be amazing if it had a convenience store close, as the other, while walkable distance, is a little far away for late night trips. They have an amazing shuttle service that is quick and convent. Overall amazing hotel and definitely worthy of its 5 star rating.

We had a nice stay. The room was more spacious than in most other hotels and the beds were comfortable. Highly recommended for families with kids!

Stayed with my adult kids and wife in one family room and our stay was very comfortable and pleasant. Although the location is not the best for shopping, the convenient regular shuttle to the subway station and shopping area was perfect. We chose the option with included buffet breakfast and the end price was unbeatable. I highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful property with very clean rooms. Staff was very helpful and service was excellence. Located in a quiet neighborhood with limited dining in the immediate vicinity but that was fine for us as our family enjoys walking everywhere. Wouldn’t hesitate to return here in the future.

Great place to stay, very nice an family oriented

It’s in a middle of a residential area - the hotel shows up out of nowhere in my mind lol The hotel though was AMAZING and the kids loved taking the Japanese bath (splash over)
