Hyatt Regency Yokohama

It was a pleasant stay for a family of 5.

The location was good for easy access to china town and other bay side sights. Breakfast buffet was also really good. Not recommended for families with small children as the atmosphere is a bit too upscale.

Friendly staff, very clean and tidy. Also great to bring kids too

Property is fairly new and in a modern quiet part of Tokyo. Travelling by train here from Airport is very lengthy so probably best to organise a transfer or taxi albeit expensive. What disappointed me most about our stay was that we were travelling as a party of 5, (2 adults, 3 kids). When booking we gave details of the ages of the kids, so clearly with 5 people, we needed five beds. We were allocated 2 x twin rooms, however when we ask for the 5th bed to be added to one of the room we were told no trolley/removable beds were available. We were informed on both nights when we enquired that that we ordered twin rooms, that was what we got. When I asked about them taking the $1400 booking for 5 people, where on earth was the 5th person going to sleep and what exactly did we get for that 5th person price, we were told that we would have to "share beds". It was a very uncomfortable and expensive stay. Very disappointing for the price and also the high expectation of customer service that should have been supplied by the Hyatt group.

Superb environment and friendly staff. We were traveling with two kids so it was a little embarrassing when check in took a while and our toddler was kicking up a fuss. But other than that, we had a wonderful night at the hotel and would certainly come back when we visit the city again.
