We stayed three night, a family of three with a kid 4 years old. The room was spacious and had street view but still very quiet, which is gold in the center of Rome. Within a few minutes walk you can find many local restaurants or diners, bars, gelaterias, shops and supermarkets to suit your needs. Restaurants around are good. I was happy with the few I tried.
The Hotel was still under renovation so there was noise upstairs til 23:00 and starts again 7:00 in the morning.
Bathroom was newly renovated, isolation from the shower by the curtain is not sufficient so there was always water on the floor but ventilation is strong enough - so it dries up fairly quick.
We had a king-size bed and a sofa bed. The bed was comfortable but the mattress was new so the new product smell was strong all night. I know the ordor well since two of my new beds had the same smell - it takes like a week to be completely gone.
We will consider to stay there again. I can recommend this hotel.

Our family stayed in one of their family rooms, with a queen and a twin. Nice size room, good distance between the two beds, so there was a bit of separation, which was nice. Everything was clean and in good working condition.
Always lots of staff at the front desk, friendly, helpful, and very multi-lingual. If you only speak English, you'll do fine at this hotel.
The breakfast is also great. Simple, but fresh, and the lovely staff will get you a cappuccino (or two). Really good way to start your day.
Location is a bit outside of the 'thick of things', which we found nice. Very walkable, particularly close to the Colosseum and Termini station.

Great staff, the family room is fantastic, great breakfast, comfy beds and a good location.
Rome is a weird place to find a hotel, but this one is a good choice.

I booked 4 Standard king rooms on the 3rd & 4th floors at Hotel Raffaelo for my family in October 2023. The location was about a 10-minute walk from the Roma Termini and situated in a safe neighborhood. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast had choices of both sweet and savory. There was still a little construction going on but aside from the elevator not being able to stop on a certain floor each day, it was really not an issue at all. Big bonus is the new rooftop bar. A very relaxing atmosphere with good music. A nice way to end a long day of sight-seeing. We all had a great stay.

Great room for my wife and I and two kids, with seperate sleeping spaces for both. Elevator wasn't working but compensated us with a quality breakfast. Easy walk to hop-on, hop off bus. Major thing is the first day I was so jetlagged I left my wallet on a table outside my room door. Cleaning staff collected it and brought it all back, not a penny missing when they could have easily pocketed it so great points for staff honesty and helpfulness. Would definitely recommend.

I was extremely disappointed with my stay at Hotel Raffaelo in Rome, Italy. I stayed there for 2 days after a 10 day Mediterranean cruise. I had arranged through the hotel for a driver to pick us up at Civitavecchia port and driver us to the hotel. I was given specific instructions which I followed as I would have no wifi cell service once off the ship. I was in the proper location but the driver wasn't. After an hour wait I found him. Upon arrival to the hotel, I was greeted with a very angry staff member stating that he had been trying to contact me. Why didn't I answer the messages and/or phone calls. I explained I didn't get them because I didn't have wifi. He said what about WhatsApp? I explained it doesn't work if you're not connected to wifi. We were early for check in. We arrived at 11:00 and check in wasn't until 2 so we were advised to leave our luggage and come back around 2:00 which we did. Imagine our shock when we arrived back at the hotel to get our room keys and we find out the elevator isn't working and our room was on the 5th floor! We are in our mid 60's! Are you kidding me?!?! We were compensated with a free continental breakfast ($12 Euros)! Big deal! It was difficult climbing those stairs! I was told the elevator was being replaced so this would have been prearranged. I feel I should have been advised in advance so I could have made other arrangements. I would never have booked if I had known that there was no elevator service! Never again!

Our family had two rooms and the A/C in our room didn’t work and the second room had problems with the shower and with the bed. We would not stay at this hotel again.

Quiet room, good black out curtains, good breakfast, friendly staff, great area for eating out and not too crowded, great transport links close by (bus/metro) to get around, good location for Colosseum/Forum.
Could be improved: for a family room..the bathroom is right next to first bed, so no privacy. The toilet blocks the bathroom door opening fully..
