Hotel Donna Francesca

Great room for a family of four in a central location for all places to visit. Well maintained and clean. The check in was efficient and the personnel very friendly. The only small drawback are the size of the elevator and the breakfast which is quite basic. If you like walking up stairs for exercise like I do then the small elevator might be a plus.

Hotel Donna Francesca is one of those hotels in a reclusive spot in the city with walkable distances to most major tourist attractions. Only 10-15 min walk from Roma Termini. Located at the 4th floor of the building, it only has 9 rooms in the property slot owned by the family and mainly two employees, plus Francesca herself, taking care of the business. If you don't like any crowded areas, this hotel is well maintained, super quiet, clean and stylish, plus la bella colazione delivered to your room with the dinning cart. I will definitely keep it in my personal record and try to book it again when returning to Rome in future.

Great location! You can walk to restaurants and shopping areas. Tourist attractions like Vatican and Colosseum would require taxi. This is a family owned hotel. Francesca is very attentive to her guests needs. Staff was great at answering questions. We were a group of five. Our rooms were clean and well equipped with kitchenettes. The beds were wonderful! The hotel is on the 4th floor of the building. You have the option of taking stairs or using the elevator. The elevator is small and can fit two people. We had no complaints and are looking forward to staying at Hotel Donna Francesca next year!

I love that this was a family run B&B hotel. Owners and staff were very polite and pleasant. I received a single room as per my request. It was rather small but still very adequate for my needs. After all, Rome outside should be your main focus and not Rome inside. Morning breakfasts were great and delivered to your room. Only negatives were that bed was a little too stiff for my likes, and a small dresser with drawers would have been nice to have. In any case, I would gladly come again to this hotel.

The breakfast was excellent! Service was great! The owner was very helpful and her staff very approachable. Love the junior suite we were in, spacious, very clean, and the excellent kitchenette, very useful. The area very central to all the attractions and Vatican City was just a few stops away on the Metro. Thank you Francesca for a most pleasant stay.

We stayed for one night after our flight from SFO. We arrived after hours but Franchesca reached out to us for our flight details and made sure we had all info in order for a seamless checkin late at night and exhausted. She also coordinated a private driver to pick us up from the airport on a late rainy night which made it so easy!! We were given a junior suite (which was sweet:) clean comfortable, quiet. The in-room breakfast was perfect and on our schedule after a restful night sleep. This was the perfect start to our trip and will stay here again!
