We loved our stay at the hotel. It is an absolutely unique property. While not a new hotel, the decor, material, etc adds to the charm. Staff was fantastic. They saved us from being stuck in the rain by sending their hotel van into very rainy and not so nice driving conditions on short notice to get us. Restaurant and food was very good. Great for families, even with older kids like I have. Thanks so much to the entire staff. We will be back!!!

The location of the hotel was nice. but it is an old hotel. We stayed in the panoramic suite room, the room was really big and the view was beautiful. There were a lot of mosquitoes and a lot of spiders and cobwebs in the room.the pool was very small and dirty, there were dead bugs. When I turned on the jacuzzi of the pool, a white foam was coming out, I guess it was never cleaned. Breakfast was ordinary, restaurant was very good, food was good but very expensive. 4 adults, 3 children and a baby, we gave 700 euros for a dinner and 500 euros for lunch. Reception staff were generally very good, there were two young staff, they only taught them to say no, it reduces the success of the reception in general. Check-in time to the hotel is 14:30, check-out time is 10:30. It was difficult for us families with children to reach the exit and the hotel reacted very much to this situation and threatened to charge a daily fee for 30 minutes. This made us very uncomfortable as we were so far from our home. They did not recognize expedia vip acces, our room was not upgraded, no treats were provided, even half an hour late check-out was not tolerated. we had a very bad holiday experience. In fact, the region is very beautiful, the sea is very beautiful, the Italians are very friendly. In my opinion, this is not Italian hospitality, we should not base this hotel on it.

We couldn’t recommend this highly enough. They made the 18 month old baby so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Service was just excellent and staff were so friendly and efficient.

Stayed in the "Deluxe Villa", family of 4, lovely Villa with amazing view/sunset/ overlooking the sea. Pricey$$The Villa is quite large with two baths, and a full size kitchen/dining area. Sofa bed in living room. Shuttle at hotel was very useful but only runs until approx. 6pm? You may require the use of the shuttle as the Villa isn't near the hotel, it is 500 m. away by winding road that you walk on to hotel (5 min walk down but steep walking back).. Roads are narrow and the Villa is located right on the road and the door literally steps out onto the roadway. Try to stay at the hotel, use the Villa if you want seclusion and cook your own meals. Plan/ bring your own groceries prior to arrival as it is a drive to neighbouring Amalfi with smaller stores for food stuffs. Visited the town of Amalfi 2.5 km away, nighttime taxi to Villa was 35 euros. Town of Maiori & Minori a short walk away, you can see from the Villa, Ravello is not where the hotel is, the hotel is right on the coast between Amalfi & Maiori. We did not visit Ravello but did see Amalfi (full of tourists and buses) but highly recommend the beautiful town of Positano (prob. the best spot to stay in). The restaurant is lovely and the pool is more for small children as its quite shallow. The lifeguard/attendant serves drinks and food if you spend time lounging by the pool or sea. The sea is wonderful to swim in, plz note there is alot of stairs to use. Changerooms/showers near pool to use after a day of sun.

Lovely hotel. Themed like being on a ship. Sea views fantastic. Warm, small, jet pool by sea. Friendly staff. Not too big. Bathroom had everything, including toothbrush and razor! Good standard of buffet breakfast sets you up nicely for the day. Glad we did not take the kids. Free wifi good.

After looking at many hotels, and seeing some questionable reviews, we decided to book the Ravello Art Hotel, as my husband and I are not picky and generally can stay anywhere. What a wrong decision! Would never recommend it for any friends and family. At check in - we spent the first one hour of our stay killing greater than 20 mosquitoes in our room - disgusting (and there were still more). We told the front desk - they assured us they never have had such a problem (which was a lie, as we sat down and reread reviews which complained of the same thing)! Since we arrived in the early evening, and as we found out the hotel is secluded from nearby towns, we decided to have dinner at the restaurant. Because we didn't make a "reservation" (we checked in thirty minutes before), we would not be served on the terrace, even though there were empty tables! We had to settle with sitting indoors, alone, despite adequate room on the terrace. The food was not good, overpriced, and overall led to a bitter start to our vacation. Our room (#215), was far away from the main building (near the parking ramp), smelled, and had NO working air conditioning. When we asked the front desk - they assured us it was on. It was just a blowing fan that made the room smell moldy! The staff are RUDE and unaccommodating. The hotel survives by luring guests to its remote location, then charging an arm and a leg for food, drinks, knowing the guests are isolated! We took the bus to Maiori and Minori!

The location of this hotel was perfect. It was on the water and each room had breathtaking views of the coast. The entire staff was accommodating and very pleasant at all times. The pool and water areas were spectacular with multiple levels of seating available for semi-private parties of two or parties of many more. Food and drink are available throughout the day and is very good. The breakfast buffet has so much to choose from and the dining areas have views all around to make your dining experience relaxing and enjoyable. My family did not want to leave!
