Upon check in, we were given an “upgrade” to a junior suite. The room was adjacent to a building site and we were woken at 7:30. Also, the balcony door was not tight. It was noisy and let in the cold. Had to keep the curtains closed so workmen on building site couldn’t look in.

Stayed as a family of four. Triple bedroom was brilliant, location also brilliant. Service and food top notch. Watch out for the building work next to the hotel. Fortunately we were placed in a room the other side so no noise from that at all! Dublin Airport Express bus delivers and picks up right next to the hotel. EPIC museum right down the street and Mayor Square Luas (Tram) stop is a two minute walk. Grafton street a leisurely 20 minutes away. Dublin Heuston Station best accessed via the Luas. Trinity College (Book of Kells) an easy 15 minute walk also. Service has been great throughout. The gym, pool and health spa facilities are also brilliant. There are special kids sessions in the pool with floats and pool noodles provided. The pool is definitely going to be a highlight for ours!

Our room was amazing! The family room was spacious and clean. The view from our room was beautiful. We had a wrap around patio and we were able to sit outside and view the scenery which was perfect beginning and end of each day. I would stay here again and recommend to anyone who is going to Dublin, Ireland.

The lobby is nice and the location is good but it’s just the attention to detail that this place misses compared to other 4 star hotels. The rooms are incredibly basic for the price you pay and for a 4 star hotel a bit shocking. It’s the bare minimum of a hotel room. We were surprised that they didn’t have robes and slippers in the room as most nice hotels do. When we went down to use the pool we saw other people who had them so we thought maybe they just forgot to put them in our room. When I went to reception to ask about it I believe I was lied to as she told me that the only rooms that get robes and slippers are family or executive suites. I told her that we saw several couples at the pool wearing robes and she just told me they’d sent them up to the room along with conditioner as the bottle in our shower was empty. 6 hours went by and no conditioner or robes and slippers. Again just tiny little things that other 4 star hotels would do for you with no problem. The breakfast was, in my opinion, not edible. My eggs were rubbery and there were really no other choices besides the typical full Irish. I saw someone order porridge, had I known I had that option I would have done that but I wasn’t aware until I saw it on my out. The food in the restaurant is also very basic and the menu choices and quality of the food is just not what you would expect it to be. Hot tub also seems to be closed permanently they need to make sure customers are aware of that as we were misled online

Staff on the front desk and the domestic staff were helpful, friendly and polite. The room was clean and comfortable and the balcony and view was great. The only disappointment was the spa and pool - you have to wear a swimming hat if you want to use the pool which was a hidden cost, the steam room was not working which we were not told about and the whole area was really busy and noisy with lots of children. There are no sun beds to lie on and the whole floor was full of pools of water and needed a good clean. This really let the hotel down. Would consider staying again but don’t let the appeal of a pool make you choose this hotel as it did for us.
