Guests consistently praise the warm and friendly staff, delicious breakfast with a wide selection, and the fantastic pool. While some have noted limited closet space in family rooms and a lack of kids' portions on the adult menu in the hotel's fine-dining restaurant, the overall experience is positive, particularly during the warmer months when the many resort amenities are fully available. One of the best hotels I have stayed in from start to finish. From the staff to the room to the food and everything in between. Would highly recommend staying at this hotel whether it be for a couple, family or business.

Really is a place to stay if you want the resort feel and not leave the property. For how expensive it is I was shocked there wasn't a free bus that would take you into town, the room also had a few issues (nothing huge) like the shower head was dropping off the holder so water just kind of spilled out and one of the outlets wouldn't let you even plug something in. Not a huge deal but at €220 euro a night, I would expect a little better. There is a €5 tray charge for breakfast room service but that's it so huge win there. I also got a massage which has to be one of the best of my life, especially the after care pampering with ice cream, a relaxing room and views of the bay. Tons to do on site for families and the staff was absolutely great.

My family enjoyed our week at this hotel. Very warm, attentive and friendly staff. Good interconnecting rooms for families. Great breakfast and other food options. Good pool (remember to bring swimming caps). Absolutely stunning walking and views at Yew Point. Would recommend as a good base for exploring Ireland

Hotel was fine, but it was winter and think it’s much more suitable for the spring / summer months. Room was large for a family of 4 though you may have to live out of your suitcase as there wasn’t much in the way of closet space for 4 people. The pool was fabulous… best bit of holiday… and caters for all (tho tbh I didn’t see a hoist for disabled persons but may have been tucked away for safety til required). Dined at the hotels fancy restaurant. Food was lovely but very little in the way to cater for 9-teens unless eating a full adult meal (kids portions of adult meals aren’t catered for - just basic choices for young kids). Both mine ate adult meals and enjoyed it. However we were a little surprised that they insisted on pre-ordering desserts!! Good food but pricey. Overall the hotel was perfectly adequate for our needs. I could tell that summer would have many more activities and be best time of year. Gorgeous views over the lake and didn’t go on the walk as too wet but am sure it would be lovely.

I have stayed before & loved the hotel, however I was very disappointed this time, firstly no parking, we had to circle the car park & were late for a function that we were attending! Room wasn’t ready on check in & we had booked a family room with 3 beds, there were 3 beds & a camp bed which left the room very cramped, even if the camp bed wasn’t in the room it was very small for 2 adults & a 12 & 10 year old. No air conditioning on the warmest weekend of the year so far left it a really uncomfortable & unpleasant attempt to sleep that night. Whilst we enjoyed our weekend the issues above will leave me bypassing the Hodson Bay for future stays.
