I have family in Limerick and have stayed at the Strand a few times. I was here this time to to attend a family birthday party that was being held in the hotel. It is a lovely hotel with wonderful staff. I took the one star off because we were given a VIP, 14 Euro voucher through Expedia, that was supposedly for any food and NON ALCOHOLIC beverages, however we could not put this towards a sandwich, pizza or soft drinks in the lounge because the manager had written specifically that it had to be put towards a sit down full dinner. Anyway maybe petty on my part but leaves one with a bad feeling. So ignore the VIP incentive because it is not that useful. The manager should reconsider this as it does not reflect genuine hospitality. Overwise this is a grand hotel!

We really liked this hotel! The area is great for walking around and exploring. There were lots of different food options around and also easy to locate practicalities like a pharmacy and a laundrette (the hotel had a laundry service but we didn't have enough time for that option). Staff at the hotel were very helpful and kind when we had questions or didn't know where to sit for table service in the bar/restaurant. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the service impeccable. Fancy, but not stodgy. We had a family room and it was awesome! One of our favourite rooms of our whole trip. Such good views. We really appreciated some of the extras in the room too, like the bottled water and some truly excellent soap, shampoo, conditioner, and hand cream. 10/10.

The Limerick Strand Hotel was fantastic. It was our first place to stay when visiting Ireland as we were moving around a lot and it truly spoiled us! The service was attentive, the rooms were large and were great for families. Everyone had their own bed! The views of the Shannon really set the scenery, and the location was excellent. The breakfast had a lot of variety and everyone was able to find something. Sadly our stay was so short we weren't able to make use of all of the amenities the hotel offered.
If we ever make it back to Limerick I wouldn't even bother looking at any other hotels as The Strand is the one.
The Strand might have set the bar far too high as every other hotel we stayed at on our trip never came close even though they were all similar in ratings and price points.

I stayed in The Strand Hotel for a family event in Limerick. It was a fantastic stay in every way, every member of staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I've stayed in many hotels before and had good service or a nice stay but there was something extra in the customer service provided by those in the Strand Hotel. Well-done.

This was a excellent hotel. It had electric charging points for my car which was the first priority but on arrival I got upgraded to a junior suite, ideally located within 5 min walk to town centre and the staff very so pleasant and welcoming. Perfect for a city break

We would stay here anytime we have the opportunity! The only thing is they are very strict with pool/spa/gym requirement and times. My little guy wanted to swim at 8pm and unfortunately no kids in the pool after 7pm. This would in no way deter us from staying here again as we would just adjust our meal times to make sure the kids could swim.

Very nice hotel. Nice pool and nice touch leaving Easter eggs in the room for our 2 kids. Would definitely stay again.

We loved that we were upgraded to the Executive Level. The staff, particularly at reception, were extremely friendly and warm. The bar staff noticed we hadn't enough room at our bar table for our drinks and food order and found us a much better spot in the restaurant - with a full view of a TV to watch the rugby. I would go back and stay at The Stand again as would other members of my group of friends and family staying there the same time. Location to shops, restaurants and bars was superb. All within walking distance, no taxis required. This made for a much more relaxed weekend.
