Great clean and modern hotel right in town. Across street from groceries and restaurants. Great location! Mountain View suggested. Good breakfast too. My family of 4 enjoyed very much. Game room was a bonus.

It's ridiculously expensive for what it is. The staff are not very friendly, the shared spaces in the hotel look nice but the rooms are basic and small for the price. Not particularly great for kids.

Rooms were too close to the road. Very noisy.
Overpriced for an average room/hotel. Surcharge for children in room.

Place is awesome, clean, hip, new, for those with Mold illness we did very well in the rooms. We got in on a night with a severe snow storm. We are a family of 4 and sleep very well in a room for "two" with a cot or camping pad, but after our honest disclosure of couple with 13 and 16 year old children, we were not allowed to stay in hotel (room 3 person max due to iceland "fire code")....they let us know we needed to book one person elsewhere DURING A BLIZZARD...we were happy to get another room ate this hotel, but they were booked out (because of a blizzard). They literally shut off our keycard to make sure we weren't being "sneaky" when I already booked my wife at another hotel Black Beach Suites (great accommodations with helpful vibe....treacherous dive to drop her off (one car completely off the road). This is the balance between the pro's and cons of socialist society...amazing nature, recycling program, safety and good wages, lack of common sense, flexibility, common sense, accommodation during times of crisis. Absolutely no help from staff on finding other accommodations...wild

I had a family emergency and had to postpone my trip to Iceland. Hotel Kria would not accept a change of dates. While I understand the cancellation was within a week and can be considered last minute, I would expect a couple hundred dollar cancellation fee. I think charging me the entire price is criminal. It’s November, did I really keep them from booking to other guests? I really wanted to stay at this hotel but will not be staying there during my rescheduled trip.

This hotel is modern, clean and a wonderful place to stay. It is a newer hotel and is well designed. The hotel breakfast was excellent. This was an expensive stay for us because we needed two rooms for our family. It would be better to have a family room with two queen beds available, but that is hard to find in Iceland. Otherwise, I would stay here again.

Fabulous place in Vik. We travlled with a 3 year old child and the staff was super nice to accommodate us for an early check in since it was raining the day we were in Vik.
The dinner buffet here had veggie options and it was the best food I had in Iceland. Very child friendly meals too.
There are little Dollys at the entrance to help you take you luggage upstairs. The rooms are spectacularly clean with amazing view and the black sand beach is walkable.
I would surely stay for longer the next time. l

Room temp was set and not adjustable (locked) so we were actually cold in our room. Parking is a bit of a walk to the entrance which normally wouldn't matter but it was raining and we had our 6 month old.baby, so would have preferred a quicker/better way in..other than that lovely property. The restaurant is beautiful and you have a gorgeous view of the mountains. Lovely breakfast spread. Overall happy.
