It’s comfortable, clean and a nice location. The room was a little cold and sadly there were people with kids running and screaming late at night.

It's very short bedtime I was very surprised at how much I liked this hotel. The front desk staff are very kind like the above and beyond type. When we were checking in the fella at the front desk checked us in kind of hasty because he was so excited that the northern lights were finally visible for some guests who had been staying all week and kept missing them. He literally checked us in and then ran away from the desk to go find that family so that he could help them see the Northern Lights behind the building. It was the nicest thing! I got to talking to him a little bit each day and he seemed like a gem. The takeoff Bistro was okay, but didn't offer a lot for vegetarians who are allergic to mushrooms. And by that I mean absolutely nothing unless you want to pay the same amount and then take the meat off of something which was kind of a bummer. I didn't love that the hotel is in a hotel park so there's nothing really walkable nearby but it was such a comfortable space.

Great location close to the big beautiful Lutheran church and restaurants and shops. Room was very nice and perfect for our family of 4. No parking but super easy to find free parking up the street. Great stay! Thank you! Blessings!

Not only was the hotel welcoming, hospitable, and clean, I couldn’t have planned it better to have the car rental company (My Car) right next to the hotel to return my rental! Excellent experience for me and my family! We will be visiting Iceland again very soon!

Conveniently located in the vicinity of the airport and shuttle service early in the morning was excellent.
Bedding was clean, but the floors and bathroom were not the best. This is an old military base and some of the features are still apparent in the rooms. We were on the ground floor by the entrance and it was very noisy, which did result in a disturbed sleep.
We have stayed here before and have enjoyed it in the past, but won’t be coming back, unfortunately. Think the biggest thing was being told breakfast would cost £80.00 for a family of four!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Konvin Hotel. This was our first night in Iceland. After touring Reykjavik during the day the restaurant at the hotel was the perfect dining spot. The food was excellent and hotel guests get a discount. It was within 20 minutes of the Blue Lagoon which was the perfect ending to a long first day. The rooms were adequate with comfortable beds. The included breakfast in the morning was very good as well. The only negatives for our family was the pillows are too soft for our liking but this was the case with every hotel we stayed at in Iceland as well the showers could use some upgrading as the water soaked the floor because there wasn't a shower door that went all the way across the tub area but these were minor details. All in all a good hotel for our first night.

This hotel was perfect for our family of 3. Everyone had their own twin bed, which we needed because of myself and two kids. The room was very clean and the staff was friendly. We only spent a short amount of time in the room, but what time we did spend was enjoyable.

Check-in was quick and easy. All employees I came in contact with were very nice and professional. My only problem was the dated bathroom that was not as the one shown in pictures. Bathroom had old sink & toilet and was extremely small. The hotel has very thin walls also! I was able to hear everyone walking in the hallways and in their rooms. I kept telling my children to be quiet because I didn’t want to disturb the others around us. I’m glad this hotel stay was just for 1 night before our early morning flight. Although the room does not have A/C, I felt the temperature was ok- opened the window for a bit and it cooled the room for the whole night.

Have you ever wanted to stay in military base housing, but didn’t want to join the military? Here’s your chance! Was quite shocked to discover this hotel is actually a decommissioned US Air Base. Our son is in the Air Force and we’ve seen photos of his dorms and this is essentially identical to many - right down to the lockers for closets with spots for the padlocks. There’s nothing around the hotel at all, except other dorms that have been converted into other things - and a US Air Force fighter jet a few blocks away. The room is large, but the bathroom is tiny and everything is outdated. The beds were acceptable. The walls were thin enough I could hear the person next door’s alarm going off and kids jumping on the bed starting at 3am. My daughter said the breakfast was decent (she was the only one to try it). The shuttle was quick and efficient. I don’t know if you can use it coming from the airport. You need to reserve a spot on the shuttle, which you can do ahead of time on their website or at the front desk when you check in, so long as the one you want isn’t already full. They leave about every hour starting at 4am. It’s about 5-7 minutes to the airport. The staff if very friendly.
