They charged for the water they left in the room, $2 US. They over charged for drinks and food, as well, continually raised the price of an Americano at the bar. One day, less than $3 US, then next day $4, then the day we were leaving, $6! Gave a complimentary drink ticket to us but only good for a few drinks. Room was so tiny, no where to put our bags (we were 2 adults and 2 kids). At the end of our stay, they charged $73 to the room but could not identify what it was for. Do NOT book here, let them go out of business so a better one can open.

Originally we had a room with a foul smell, like gas coming from the kitchen area. We complained and requested a room change and/or partial refund. The property refused, and only after repeated complaints put us in a different room. Who knows what was going on with the room we left, Once we did move it was much better, but we lost a day of our 4-day stay to the aggravation and stress of the situation. The property did have a lot of mosquitoes. On the positive side, the bar/restaurant area was very friendly and helpful and there were numerous kids games and kid areas around the property. Would not stay there again, would look elsewhere (Kimpton next door) for nicer accommodations at that price, $600 per night

If you like the crazy West Bay Beach scene then you may enjoy Paradise Beach Hotel. It was convenient, clean, good beds and television, and staff was very nice. Breakfast buffet was very nice. I rated this hotel 3/5 because the water in bathroom was salty and shower rarely provided hot water. Restaurant on site was expensive so we found nearby, off-beach options that were very good. We didn't love the crazy beach scene with loud music, cruise boat tourists and all the beach activities (jet skis, banana boats, parachutes, vendors, etc.) but most of the families that stayed here seems to be really enjoying it.

We booked and paid for a 3 bedroom villa, then they contacted me and said they "didn't have any available". They gave us a 2 bedroom villa and a horrible 2Q hotel room , which should have been a significant refund.
Nope.
Chris was supposed to speak to a manager and have us compensated in some way.
Nope.
The hotel room FLOODED AT 3am, there was water all over the floor, my mother almost fell. My parents had to move to a different room in the middle of the night.
The pool is closed for remodeling. They offered a tiny rooftop pool (6ft by 15ft) or a walk to the neighbor resort (being built, so construction everywhere) which was only open after the construction workers went home for the day. My kids were devastated.
We booked an ATV/Monkey/Sloth adventure through Expedia and I highly recommend that. We rode the hot dog inflatable thing for nearly an hour ($100 for 4 of us) and that was fun to see the island from the water.
The food was pretty good, some wait staff were better than others (Edwin). I recommend walking to Kristi's nearby. There's also a small grocery store and liquor store within walking distance.
We spent 5 days diving. Unfortunately, the coral is very bleached and the visibility was very low. Barry (the only dive master) is impersonal. We dove with JC and Lisa and they should be promoted.
Stay at Anthony's Key.

The property is nothing out of the ordinary. On the contrary it's pretty basic as far as beach resorts go. My room wasn't clean, there was sand on the floor. No face towels or washcloths either. Zero amenities, no blow dryer, no glasses, no coffee maker.
AND if you have children and book thru Expedia, they charge you excessive amounts for the kids, which in this case were 1 and 2 year olds. Forget asking for a refund either, as you'll hear every story under the sky to avoid giving you a refund. Shameful!

The staff were really friendly everyday! not just at check-in like some resorts. First day air conditioner broke and we were re-located immediately! Morning breakfast was very good and also the beach/bar restaurant!! Beach area including the sand was cleaned everyday! several families were there and we considered the area very safe! Walking down a nearby dark ally to get to another restaurant/mall the locals yelled hello and enjoy the island! was our first time so we rented a car and traveled the island with such nice people everywhere! We have been to many islands and will return to Roatan again!

I stayed for 8 days with poor air conditioning. I complained about the A/C not working well, the ceiling fan not working and humming loudly. All they said was they were going to send maintenance and no one showed up. Wife, myself and kids slept sweating every night, not worth the thousands of dollars I paid. The pool area and bar were ok.

I went with my wife and kids. We really enjoyed the place and amenities. The proximity to the water is a huge plus. The restaurant at the location was also excellent.

People were drinking at swimming pool and using cloths like shorts and camisoles at the swimming pool. Común arreas didn’t have good drainage when it is raining and we had to reach our junior suit barefoot and our shoes and pants were soaked of water. There were roaches inside our unit. Staffs were friendly. Food ok nothing special. Beaches contaminated. Thank
