Bananarama Dive & Beach Resort

My family and I stayed at Bananarama 12 years ago and it was just as wonderful the second time! Laid back atmosphere, friendly staff, great food and drinks (here's looking at you Derry and Ryan) and the best dive shop ever. Thank you Zoe, Ben and Jordan for taking such good care of us on our dives! We loved every minute of our stay at Bananarama :)

When I checked in, there were no hairdryers available and I had to wait a couple days to get one. The water in the shower was freezing. It was like taking a shower with a garden hose. I reported it twice but got the same “I’ll let them know” response with no action. I was in room 22 and above me was a family whose footsteps kept me awake all four nights I was there. There was no tv in my room to help drown out some of the sound either. Honestly, I couldn’t wait to leave. Will definitely come back to Roatán but will stay elsewhere next time.

My family and I had a great time! Overall this place is amazing and the staff was so nice. Will definitely come back again.

I remember the last time we were there there weren't so many kids. Screaming all the time other than that we loved it. I know you can't control kids. Didn't this speech used to be adult and topless? Can't we go back to that we wouldn't have the kids.

We loved our stay at Banarama. The garden suite was perfect for our family’s stay. The food was delicious, and the views from the restaurant are next level! Huge shout out to the best staff members- restaurant staff Jose, Ryan and Jenny, you made our families feel so great each and every time we came to eat, the kids especially loved you all and we miss as you already. If you book a excursion, make sure to ask for Jairo! He made all of our adventures so much fun, we learned so much about the island and felt so safe everytime! Thank you for making this a memorable trip for us, we can’t wait to visit again!

Bananarama's rooms are nice and clean without a lot of extras. There are no TV's but there was air conditioning and fans. The shower did not get hot, but none of us minded the luke warm showers after a hot, sunny day. There is a porch to lounge on in front of the room. The restaurant/bar area has activities and live entertainment, but the room area was quiet. The dive shop was excellent and Arturo was fabulous with our kids. The food was good at the Thirsty Turtle and there were specials everyday. As an FYI - even though you give Expedia payment information, your card will be charged by the hotel at the time of your stay. Overall, this place is a great value in a great location, and we would book it again.
