The Westin Denarau Island Resort & Spa, Fiji

Lovely friendly service. Beautiful surrounds. Didn't realise you had to book in and pay for an extra bed even after stating you have a child in your party when booking. Wasnt great all staying in one room - just one room without any actual separate bedrooms isn't great either. A little noisey at night with being able to hear everything from upstairs, also, especially when they run the water. Other costs are steep. For example, who pays $140 for one load of washing? Or $18 for a small smoothy from pre frozen ingrediants

We booked and paid for this hotel thinking it would be a great start to our special family holiday in Fiji before we went to the islands. In reality, it was average at best. Pro's: the pool is pretty cool, and the poolside furniture is comfortable. The sunset vistas are great. There are a few restaurants on site and many in the partner hotels nearby. Staff are generally fairly friendly. Cons: the whole place is quite run down and not what we expected. Examples: lots of the fire (gas) features in the water pools were not working, our room was in quite poor condition with some fairly horrid exposed and dirty bits in the bathroom, and really worn fittings. There was a hole in the decking in the entranceway to the hotel. Some of the poolside huts were in bad repair. The dining areas were tired. The staff seemed a little apathetic at times. Food was quite same-samey. Overall, it wasn't a great experience and NOTHING like the pictures or the writeup for the hotel. I've stayed in lots of 4 and 5 stars the world over, and it felt like the hotel can get away with being less than it advertises itself as, because it's in a nice part of Fiji and the weather is great. Overall: disappointed.

Staff were absolutely amazing, beautiful with children and the restaurant staff are unbelievable Loved every second of my stay and will be coming back for my second trip this year Thank you to all the staff that were so friendly and helpful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope we will return next year. For us the staff were the highlight of our trip as they made us feel like royalty. They were so warm and welcoming, they could not do enough for us. A perfect holiday for us and our baby.

The hotel was fantastic, the staff are very friendly and you’re always greeted with a warm and friendly bula. The hotel has daily activities for everyone to join in. I had gone for my birthday and was surprised when the staff came out and sang happy birthday to me during breakfast and gave me a lovely piece of cake. It was so lovely. The staff all sing so beautifully and also sang us a farewell song on our last day. The only thing that wasn’t that good was that the Wifi kept dropping out in the rooms. Other than that I definitely would remember it for families and couples and just anyone wanting to have a relaxing experience. There is also a free brown bula bus that allows you to visit the three connecting resorts.
