Copenhagen Admiral Hotel

1) Our room had a couch which folds out into a bed for our kids. At check in we were told to request for it to be set up at our convenience if it was not already. We went out for the day and requested it be set up. Get back to go to sleep and it was not ready. 2) We had a dinner reservation at the restaurant which the hotel cancelled which is fine as they have a smaller bar restaurant we can eat at and a glass of bubbly would be provided for the inconvenience. Odd that we had to notify the staff of this as well as show proof of the email stating a glass of bubbly would be provided. 3) At checkout I had to argue with the staff as they wanted to charge me for drinks at the bar that my family never ordered. They then charged me but afterwards removed them. Not something I should have to deal with. 4) After checking out we had a few hours so we had the staff hold our bags. When asking for the bags the staff asked me where they were as if I put them away. We walked to the back where he thought they would be and retrieved all luggages and backpacks. They had carts to use but instead I brought out and loaded the taxi as the staff assisted minimally and then lingered for a tip. 3 nights for $1,600 is not cheap. These 4 issues I should not have to deal with. Great location but I would never recommend anyone stay here.

Great location and unique room design. But..if you stay in a loft room in June through the summer you will find it suffocatingly hot. We asked if their advertised “air cooling” was working. The reception replied curtly that this is Scandinavia and they don’t have air con. She then said they could give us 2 fans. The fans helped a lot but this was only in June. It would be helpful if they put them in every loft and didn’t wait for you to ask. I saw other customers complaining of the same thing…including one 60 year old man who had sweated through his t-shirt because of the room heat. Also, the loft rooms have incredibly steep stairs - so it would not be safe for young children. There were also lots of little spiders.

Great property very nice staff amazing amazing restaurant one of the best in the city! Concierge is very junior and don’t really know what they are doing. Need a lot of training aside from that hotel could use an upgrade mattress is a bit soft and carpets. Replaced overall love this hotel of stayed there before.

Really great room for the family

Amazing architectural restoration of the building! Our room had a phenomenal waterview and amazing loft space for a third person. They had mentioned a full breakfast, but this was an exceptional breakfast spread, my family and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I would recommend this to anyone that wants a stunning design and amazing location. I can't wait for my next visit to CPH and stay at the Admiral!

Overall we enjoyed our stay but the ladder in the family room was INSANELY steep! I expected at least some kind of baby gate option but the steep stairs plus the open side of the staircase made us constantly on guard for potential falls with our children.

Everything was great! The staff was kind and helpful. Rooms were spacious and clean. The location is perfect and in walking distance of great attractions. I would definitely stay there again and recommend to my friends and family!

This is a great older property with lots of Character. We had a loft room upper floor that wS unique and fun for the kids too. The hotel was undergoing some work, but it was quiet. The staff were friendly, helpful and accomodating to our early arrival. Walking distance from sights and dozens of eaterys and cafe's and great shopping. The hotel is on the water and there are tall ships docked right outside he hotel.

Very poor experience at checkin - staff was not very welcoming. We had an issue with the drain of the shower not draining. Staff did not act on the issue. We also noticed that the rooms are not well insulated for sound. We could hear the family next door talking and the kid crying all night. At this price point you would expect everything to be stellar. It was not.

Very nice hotel and excellent location ! We stayed last year in April and went back this year. This year everything was better, room menu, nice terrace, nice bar.. we only missed the sea view this year. We booked three rooms for our family and had a great time
