The Charles

We loved the location and the overall atmosphere of the hotel. We loved the old painted ceilings and original doors combined with modern bathroom. The bed was comfortable and sheets so white and smelled so good - my 8 year old son called the bed his happy place! Staff was super friendly and helpful, we also enjoyed the breakfast. Unfortunatelly our stay was completely ruined by the bar/club next door. We stayed for 3 nights out of 4 because we couldn’t handle the noise! Each night the music got louder and the people partied longer! Even though the bar closes at 3am on our last night they played loud music (to the point that our room was shaking) until 6am!!! After traveling all the way from Los Angeles all we wanted was a few nights of a good sleep and that was impossible to get in this hotel. Even though we expected that it will get loud since we were in the heart of Prague we were not prepared for loud music blasting bellow our room until 6am. What a bummer! We really wanted to love this hotel. It has so much going on for it. The location - super short walk from Charles bridge - is unbeatable. So if you are into clubbing and are not traveling with kids - this might be the perfect place for you. Otherwise look elsewhere.
