Our stay in Greemount was great. The property located a bit out of the city that makes the area more quiet. The room was spacious ,very clean and with comfortable beds. It had a functional fan and we absolutely didn't need AC nor teh fan as the area doesn't get too warm. The property is family owned and it is very cute and well maintained. The room we had was better than the images. There is a small sitting area inside and one outside that we enjoyed a lot using them. The kitchen is a great plus to the hotel allowing you to have a small meal and not always hit out meals.
Finally the owner was absolutely helpful and available at all time. He helped us to book our tours in the area, at no extra cost and actually saved us money by getting the tours on the right time. We enjoyed our stay there! Thank you

Wonderful family owned hotel. Breakfast was good and staff was very friendly. We couldn't get hot water and the bed was extremely uncomfortable.

Amazing stay at Greemont. The family who runs hotel is so friendly and helpful. Mom and daughter cooked us delicious breakfast and son who checked us in helped give tour recommendations and booked some for us. Everything is super clean. Rooms have mini fridges. As well you can use kitchen where breakfast is served. Right down from hotel is an amazing spot to watch sunset! Thanks so much to this family for having us as hotel guests

The staff was very friendly. The space in the photo is a common room which is well-lit and very comfortable. Breakfast was prepared for each guest individually.
There was a barking dog next door and a crying baby that disturbed our sleep.

What a gem! I stayed at this quaint property for the first leg of our visit to Costa Rica, and it was the perfect blend of authentic experience, convenience and charm. The roads to get there are a little crazy, but it’s proximity to the town and cloud forest are perfect. Traveling alone with a young child, I felt safe and the staff was quite friendly and attentive. A family owned and operated business that truly cares about its guest experience. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Monteverdi for a few days!

This is a great little hotel. The family that owns it are wonderful people and were very helpful throughout our stay. We’d return to this hotel simply because how lovely the staff are.
It’s a little bit out of the main part of town but an easy walk or quick ride to everywhere you’d like to go.
The rooms are nice. There’s a comfortable lounge area in the courtyard. It has the typical quirks of Costa Rican hotels like low water pressure etc. but that it to be expected!

We loved staying at Greenmount. Proprietors are super friendly and helpful family. Rooms have just the basics, but there are comfortable common seating areas both in courtyard and breakfast room if more space is needed. Breakfast was delicious every morning. Definitely not walking distance to town, but with rental car this was no problem and most activities will provide transportation.

This hotel was a little bit out of the small town, which I prefer. It took about 3-4 minutes to drive into "town" so it was very convenient. Upon arrival we were met by the owners' son who checked us in. He was very friendly, spoke great English and was very helpful in making some plans for the next day. He also provided us with a map of the area so that getting around was a bit easier. The breakfast was adequate, nothing to fancy, but none of us left hungry. They have a set menu for each day and so there is really no option. Although you let them know what time you would like to eat and they have it ready at that time...no food that's been sitting around. The beds were a little hard for me, but my husband liked them. They also have an "instant hot" water heated in the showers. Ours didn't work at all and it was a little scary since you could see the wires running along the water pipes. We were there with a lot of family and so we had 5 rooms total. Two of us didn't have hot water (or couldn't figure out how to use it) and the other 3 had no problems. It also had a small reading area and a large room that we were able to meet in as a family.
Overall, it was better than what I had expected based on the price and the "no frills" label. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an economical place to stay.
